Best price vegan banh mi - Edit
One of the best banh mi’s we had in Vietnam and with everything being vegan and for cheap you can’t ask for more! Number 13 is my fav where you can pick and mix any of the ingredients you like for only 40k!!! So so delicious we went back and bought 5 for the bus to Laos from Hanoi. Thanks again!!!

Fantastic - Edit
Got here right at opening time and was not disappointed! Vegan and vegetarian often gets muddled in Vietnam so was nice to eat somewhere where you didn’t have to worry about that. Great bread, HEAPS of filling (could have a bit more veg:protein but I’m just nitpicking). Loved it, but Luke recommend!

Cold and bread ok - Edit
I ate Banh MI in Ning bhin compared to that it was okay. Noodles were cold and bread was dried out. Tofu and mushroom spices were good.

Tasty and hearty meal with a nice crunch! - Edit
Great way to experience the charm of dining streetside. We stopped at Banh Mi Chay Vegan Hanoi for a quick bite before the Water Puppet Show. Good selection of Banh Mi. Tasty and hearty meal with a nice crunch!

fast and great - Edit
She sells about 20 or so different kinds of banh mi’s here and she makes them so fast! Lovely service. We also had a bao bun which was really good too.😄

Huge selection & friendly service - Edit
In general, we really liked the food here. In my opinion, the Banh mi could use some more sauce and/or vegetables but that‘s just personal preference.

Huge menu! - Edit
Little shop with a huge vegan banh mi menu. So much to choose from. The two we had were flavorful and had a good amount of filling for a very reasonable price!

Crazy combos and lots of choice! - Edit
We ordered a tofu banh mi, fried spring rolls and the protein stew with bread to takeaway as we wanted to picnic at the lake. We were pleasantly surprised to find the spring rolls were stuffed inside the bread! Didn't think it would work but it really did!!! The stew was 'meaty' and fragrant with lots of veggies. As an ethical vegan, I have no problem with eating things that resemble meat as long as they taste good! 😁

Simple, Spicy, and Noms - Edit
Quick snacks that are tasty. We opted for two of the spicy sandwiches, and they were rather spicy! Gotta love the tiny plastic chairs. We never see those back home, except in grade school classrooms.

Dry Banh mi - Edit
There was no sauce on the floss banh mi, it was so dry it was hard to swallow and the floss wasn’t chewable. Didn’t enjoy it at all, sorry😒my friend liked their 5 spices okay

Not good - Edit
I don’t like to leave negative reviews but I literally couldn’t eat my banh mi. I ordered the sweet and salty “best seller” which resembled bloody meat way too much! If you’re looking to re-create the experience of eating meat then you might enjoy but as an ethical vegan it was impossible. The sweet and salty taste wasn’t a good combo either. One of the employees was very understanding and apologetic but the owner insisted I would have to pay full price again for a new bahn mi, no discount or refund offered. The owner didn’t offer any solution to fix it at all, so I was stuck hungry with a weird sandwich I couldn’t eat. Wouldn’t go back there again, think I’ll stick to regular tofu.

Good for quick bite on the go! - Edit
There is no seating here except for little stools on the sidewalk (if not already full). Most of the items seem to be sandwiches you can get to go. I grabbed a seitan sandwich to eat as I walked the street. It was good but nothing to write home about. Everything is vegan, so four stars!

The banh mi was nice but not the best I've had in Hanoi. I think I also didn't order a great option from the menu.

Very good bahn mi - Edit
I’ve had the number 4 nut pate and number 5 seitan with lemongrass. Both were tasty though I preferred the seitan slightly more. Quick and easy to order with many stools available to sit on the sidewalk. Nice staff that speaks English. Note - they open at 10am not 9am.

Nice banh mi - Edit
This is a fully vegan banh mi shop that has 20 different sandwich to choose from, as well as drinks and bao.
Read moreI’ve been twice. The first time I had the tofu and mushroom which was very nice and the second time I had the soy floss and lime leaf which was very dry.
The lady who runs it is very nice and I’d recommend giving it a visit if you want guaranteed vegan banh mi.

Delicious Banh Mi! - Edit
Awesome little hole in the wall, friendly service, great selection and great prices. Had the #9 (banh mi with tofu, mushrooms and spicy spices) and it was delicious!! Fresh bread, hearty and filling. Will definitely be back before we leave Hanoi!

So tasty! - Edit
We ordered numbers 16, 20, and some spring rolls. The rolls were a tad too oily for my taste, but the Bánh mì was really flavourful. I want to return to try more!

Bland Bahn Mi, Great Spring Rolls - Edit
I had the seiten bahn mi and it had no flavor. It had waaay too much turnip. Spring rolls were hot and spicy. Yum! Staff were very friendly.
Read moreEdit: After posting my review, I just saw another review that was critical about the lack of seating and the lack of taste in the sandwich. The owner's response was quite harsh, and disappointing to see. I have to agree that the food lacked flavor. However, the owner did pay attention to the review because during my visit there, the owner had placed a lot of seating out in front. So it's good to see that the owner was responsive in terms of adding seating, but it's unfortunate that she responded with such harsh language towards a customer expressing their opinion about the taste. Definitely try the spring rolls here if you want flavor, but it is a fact that the bahn mi had almost no flavor, at least on the day I visited. I hope the owner can accept honest criticism and take it as an opportunity to improve (as they did with seating) rather than react with defensiveness.
