Great vegan options! - Edit
Unfortunately there are no fully vegan restaurants in Chelmsford but Banana Tree in my opinion has the best options. Very good selection of curries, soups, stir fries etc as well as starters. I use regularly as a home delivery option and food always arrives hot.

We had a delicious meal and very helpful staff! All three of us had a vegan meal and each was full of flavour. The staff was patient, kind and welcoming. Loved to see a variety of Asian food!! Would definitely come here again

I'm often underwhelmed with the food at chain restaurants but not this time! The food here was really tasty and I was impressed with the large variety of vegan options on the menu. For starters we had the crispy vegan gyoza with sweet chilli dip and Vietnamese spring rolls with lettuce wraps. Both dishes were really tasty and I liked that the spring rolls came with lettuce to wrap them in – it was unusual and added a nice crunchy texture. For our mains we had the vegan katsu curry and the pad Thai with vegan bites. I enjoyed both of them although the pad Thai was definitely the winner for me – it was bursting with flavour and just so delicious! My favourite out of everything we had though was the side – sweet corn fritter balls with sweet chilli dip. They were absolutely delicious!

Every time I come here I am somehow surprised with how incredibly tasty everything is! I am never disappointed when I eat here. The Pad Thai is a firm favourite! And the satay skewers are beautiful! I want to try the whole vegan range!

Visited Banana Tree out of curiosity some months back due to looking for more places with vegan/vegetarian options and was not disappointed.
Read moreTheir menu is about 40% vegan and most meat dishes have a vegan option and the portion sizes are huge. We try and visit at least once a month. The vegan satays are one of my absolute favourite things on the menu.
Pros: Lots of vegan options.
Cons: Expensive unless you use a TasteCard.
