Acanteen is a great place for a couple of drinks or a nice meal.

Service is always great as well, so friendly staff are a plus!

Lovely place for brunch and evenings - Edit
Been here a few times now and it’s a lovely place for a breakfast/brunch and cool chilled vibes on an evening . Vegan options clearly labelled on the menu and other items can be adapted if needed too. Sociable and busy place! Dog friendly.

Best place I’ve found for vegan options for a Chelmsford based restaurant. Would definitely go back. Even did a seitan steak with peppercorn sauce! 😋

Love the vibe at Acanteen - you can have a romantic dinner but the room is stil busy and dynamic with lots going on and an open plan layout. Saturday night jazz was great quality and wasn't too loud / didnt distract from conversation.

The menu had a great range of options for vegetarians, I had the burger which was really nice and my son had the beef burger. We really enjoyed our time there.

Expensive and small vegan menu - Edit
I tend to go here a lot with my family for events because its quite fancy and expensive. There is a fully vegan menu of things like tofish and chips, seitan, burgers, pizza. Its an amazing menu - its just frustrating that it is MORE expensive than the omni options. Also the restaurant has peculiar opening times. But the food is always good - if small.

Amazing Seitan Burger - Edit
I recently visited Acanteen following a recommendation from a friend and was not disappointed! I was so pleased to see a full vegan menu and not just a couple of token dishes. So many tempting options but I chose the Seitan burger which was absolutely delicious! - A really generous portion and tasted very fresh. I followed this with a decandent vegan brownie which was also very tasty and again, a very generous size portion. Can't wait to come back and try other dishes on their menu!
