Excellent place for vegans - Edit
There are lots of menu items that are vegan. No adaptation necessary. I had mixed veggies in a delicious broth with rice. Hubby had Thai ginger tofu and vegetables. Both delicious both inhaled before we thought to take a picture. Sorry.

Requested vegan but got egg - Edit
Banana Blossom aspires to be vegan-friendly but may not always hit the mark. When we were placing our takeout order, the gentleman on the phone assured us that they would make everything vegan. When I asked if the curries could be made vegan or if the curry pastes had shrimp paste, he said the shrimp paste was already mixed into the curry paste so the curries can’t be made vegan. And then he reassured us that the other dishes we wanted could be made vegan.
Read moreBut when we fit home and opened our “vegan” pad kee mao (drunken noodles) we discovered there was a lot of fried egg in it. We called them and they willingly made a new, actually vegan one for us, but of course we would’ve wished not to have received the egg on the first place.
Also, note that the wide rice noodles they use here are not the delicious soft homemade noodles that one finds in authentic Thai dishes like pad kee mao and pad siew, but smaller and firmer store-bought noodles.
That said, the people were pleasant, as is the interior of the restaurant.
Their take-out packaging is unrecyclable styrofoam, so consider bringing your own container or dining in.

Succulent vegan entrees, soups & salads. Ananchana anticipated every need. - Edit
Many items are naturally vegan as long as you don’t add any earth beings for the protein; if you chose tofu or extra veggies you don’t have to modify the dish. As an extra precaution make sure you ask no fish sauce on any dish you order. Most dishes are made with coconut milk instead of dairy. They are very vegan friendly and willing to accommodate, they do not get annoyed if you ask questions. The chef definitely knows what they are doing. #Veganuary

Lunch special - Edit
I tried Banana Blossom after learning Even Steven across the street no longer had many vegan options. The lunch special comes with soup of the day, when I visited the soup had pork in it, and costs around $10. I was psyched the green curry wasn’t listed as spicy and ordered it with tofu. Not a very large portion but it was tasty.
