Awesome - Edit
The food is tasty and nourishing, and the staff are really nice. They pointed out to me which dishes are vegetarian. Apart from the main cafeteria-style hot dishes, there’s a refrigerator where you can choose salads and desserts. I paid about $3 for rice with beans, salad, and rice pudding.

Then he brought me some tea. They are the kindest. I will keep going back here as long as I’m in Istanbul.

One can still eat for cheap in European Istanbul - Edit
Very simple but with a wide plant-dish menu for the neighbourhood, where it also stands as the most affordable (inflation notwithstanding). Please, forget about your credit card!
