Tasty vegan pizza but busy place

The pistachio pizza is really good, I recommend to try it. However, we waited 15 mins to get seated (make a reservation beforehand) and the waiter was a bit confused and the place was pretty busy with many many tables being full.

Pros: Welcome drink while waiting

Cons: Only 2 vegan options - pizzas

Great vegan pizza

There are only two vegan options, I had the vegan margarita and it was very good. The vegan options are clearly labeled. A lot of indoor and outdoor seats.

Pros: Food, Clearly labeled vegan food, Kind staff

Cons: Only two vegan options

Buona

Vegan options but one of the few to offer fake meat

Very popular and busy place on a bustling street near the waterfront. The menu only offers two pizzas for vegans (no other salad or sides) but the Pistachio & Mortadella vegana pizza was delicious and one of the few we found in Trieste with a plant based meat. We also ordered the Margherita Vegana and they were happy to add toppings to make it a bit more interesting. Tasty dough and sauce, with complimentary Prosecco, limoncello and for some tables sweets! Booking advised

Pros: Interesting vegan option, Fake meat, Attentive staff

Cons: Busy, Booking required, No side salads

limited vegan options

When we went there for Lunch, only one of two vegan pizzas on the Menü was available. We ended up taking the bruschetta and the vegan Margherita instead of the vegan mortadella pistachio Pizza which was out. The bruschetta was excellent, simple but incredibly flavourful. The Margherita was okay and enough to feed two people with a starter. As is typical of northern italy, pizzas had a big, fluffy and crunchy crust and only few toppings. Staff was very friendly and prices reasonable especially considering they are located in a busy part of a town popular with tourists.

Pros: Quick and friendly service

Cons: Limited vegan options

Okay Pizza

Fluffy dough but boring taste.
Napoli style with good price. Vegan options (4pizzas and maybe starters?) were not on menu - ask for them.

Slow, mediocre, expensive

This crowded tourist place is not worth your time or money. After waiting 30 mins for a table, it took another 30 mins to bring 1 pizza and a bruschetta. It was mediocre, expensive, and they tried to charge me a 14€ cover (1 person). Luckily I noticed on my way home and went back and complained. Double check your bills.

There are 3 vegan pizzas but they aren't written on the menu, you have to ask. The vegan cheese is the mozzarisella that's quite common to see in natural grocery stores around Europe. This cheese is good sliced as a side, but is not good in pizza - it doesn't melt and the taste palette is wrong. The pizza had no sauce and not much else. The crust was good but unless you are excited about a plain pizza crust for supper, skip this place. Bruschetta was about 4/10, looked nice.

Service was terrible and I had to chase the servers down for silverware. There are basically no nonalcoholic drink options.

One of the worst dining experiences I've had in a while.

Cons: Slow , Expensive , Mediocre

Best vegan pizza

The best vegan pizza I’ve had. The cheese was amazing and the dough was so good. Highly recommend. They also give you a tiny welcome Prosecco glass. Good service

Original pizzas

We had nerone, a pizza without tomato sauce, but with green sauce made of zucchini. We liked it.

Too expensive

We went to Assaje for dinner. They had three types of vegan Pizza on the menue, we took ‚Diavolo‘ and ‚Gourmet‘. Diavolo was pretty good, but the gourmet Pizza was so hard that I almost couldn’t eat it.
I was happy that they had at least vegan options, but those where almost twice the price of the non-vegan options.

we recommend to book a table in advance. We waited in the queue for 20min but got pizza from the staff in between waiting. Very good, big pizza with good vine.

Very good Neapolitan pizza

They have three different vegan pizzas, including one with veg salami and one with veg stracchino and veg beef. You can also have any other pizza with plant-based mozzarella. I had the ortolana with veg mozzarella and it was very good.

Pros: Veg mozzarella, veg stracchino, Veg salami, veg beef

Cons: Expensive, No veg desserts
