Waste of money - Edit
Too expensive sandwiches which are tiny...so you pay a lot just to stay hungry after eating them. They are like samples.
Read moreDeserts also were not tasty (and I say this while being vegan since 2016, more often than nor eating sugar free deserts).
Overall this experience has been a total waste of money. What a shame...

Wish I saved room for dessert! - Edit
So many options! We tried the mushroom soup (5/5, so good), burrito (4/5), tacos (4/5) and both flavors of kombucha (5/5). All of the desserts looked so good but we were way too full at the end. I would go back just for the soup 😋 Note that there is limited seating in case you're a big group.

Clearly the best place to visit in our city for high quality food , vegan , veg and gluten free options. Manolis and his team make some of the tasteful sweets I have ever tried. They opened a second store lately in Athens city. Keep up the good job guys !

Fantastic hand crafted food! - Edit
My wife and I were on a cruise through the Greek Islands and when our ship was in port we decided to just see the shopping area and get some lunch. Happy Cow lead us to Anthema. We are so glad it did. They offer a wide variety of unique vegan dishes that are hand crafted in their small kitchen right in front of you. The food tasted amazing and the prices were super reasonable.

The food was delicious, and the staff very nice! We went here two times, because we liked it so much. There is not much room, but you can ask to eat at the bar and take chairs from outside. Don't forget to also taste the desserts!

I was so excited to find a *mostly* vegan place in Volos, so I'm sad to write a negative review.
Read more1. Staff could definitely be friendlier, made us feel unwelcome and as if we were annoying them by asking questions about the food.
2. They don't specify which food isn't vegan, in fact the staff was confused by me not wanting honey on anything.
3. I got the sweet potato burger and it was tiny, the buns weren't actually buns but strange pancake type things, the caramelized onion wasn't caramelized, and when I bit into it everything fell apart and I had to eat with a fork and knife. The "chips" that come with it are flavourless veggie crisps, worse than any I've ever got for cheap at a supermarket.
4. We tried a few of the desserts, they were tasty, but the fruity ones weren't really fruity eg. The mango and passion fruit tart just tasted like coconut.
Pros: Vegan options
Cons: Overall a disappointment

Read more1. I am sorry on behalf of the staff. Our customers are more than happy with the way the staff treats them. We welcome the customers and make them feel comfortable. I guess that you had a bad coincidence where a new staff member had been training😒Sorry again about this.
2. The menu clearly stated which options had honey. However we have COMPLETELY removed honey to make the store 100% Vegan friendly. Please see our current menu in the following link (https://www.anthema.gr/data/AnMenuEN.pdf)
3. Our burger looks small because of the absence of gluten. The burger buns can't be big when gluten is not present and when all ingredients are organic & not raising additives have been used. Our onions are being properly caramelized using the traditional method when slowly cooking them in low heat, leeting their natural sugars extract & a natural caramelization process takes place. The chips that we used are homemade chips using the dehydration process which gives the healthiest of result. However these chips have been substituted now air fried wedges !!
4. In our desserts we are only using natural fruit and NO artificial aromas. For this reason the desserts don't come out extremely fruity, but more earthy and healthy indeed !!
I am so sorry that you had to give us an OVERALL Disappointment as a review. We are doing our best to serve the most healthiest organic options to our customers.

Tiny place with wonderful juices, smoothies, sandwiches, granola, cakes. Serves breakfast and lunch, no dinner. Some products (chips, cakes, teas, spreads) on sale as well. Vegan burger is a work of art. The taste of everything is fantastic, staff takes the time to help you choose.
