Cute and good coffee

You can stay with a soy latte and some biscuits or vegan breads ! It’s really nice and not too expensive.

Nice Japanese Style Breads

The breads are well signed to tell what is vegan and what is not. The breads are tasty with a good selection of around 6 to 10 different types that are vegan. They also do soy coffee hot or cold.

Only vegan bread

Got there at 9:15am (they open at😄and they only had 4 selections of vegan rolls. Nice place but a disappointment for vegans unless you just want rolls.

Pros: Nice looking bakery

Cons: More non vegan options than vegan , Only bread

Salty Bread Roll - best ever!

Alpenrose has a lot of vegan options, and they have this salty bread roll which is honestly amazing. They also do sweet flavours like red bean which are also great.

bread fix

Being a vegan in Japan we don't eat a lot of bread so it was nice to have some at this cute little bakery. The salted bread roll was like a savoury doughnut! Highly recommend and everything is labelled very well.

Pros: vegan options and all labelled

Cons: not a big range of vegan items

Rare to find

In Japanese bakeries and in supermarkets, they all contain milk products so finding this in Happy Cow was really exciting. Luckily our airbnb wasn't far so we stocked up on different assortments of rolls for breakfast and snacks almost every day. Depending on the time of day, they will have different types available. Some include raisin rolls, black sesame rolls, red bean in Japanese flavoured roll (green colour), etc.

Pros: Finally a bakery with vegan options, All clearly labelled

Cons: Can sell out quick

good vegan options for a Japanese bakery

Had a soy latte and the salty yomogi and red bean bun. Both were okay, but nothing to write home about.

We were served the bun warm but the bean paste wasn't heated through.

delicious

Everything organic and specific items labeled vegan.
The bread is delicious makes me feel as if I'm in Paris. Everything is fresh and comes out as it bakes.

I had tea and salty bread my guest had the salty buns with Japanese herb and sweet red bean. Both were very delicious.

Vegan bread!

I was so glad to see that they sold vegan here. I bought 2 loafs :D They also sell whole leaf green tea and some jellies. I would advise everyone to get there early, but I'm sure if you arrive late like I did, you will still have vegan options.

Pros: Vegan bread, Inexpensive

Nice selection of vegan breads

I was excited to try this place, as I was looking for a variety of clearly labeled vegan breads, and it did not disappoint! Blueberry bagels, cranberry rolls, and some very nice large rolls (plain or edamame), along with loaves, all clearly labeled vegan. Happy face vegan cookies! Small amount of seating available, and manager spoke English.

Vegan friendly bakery with delicious bread

A cozy little bakery with fantastic vegan toast breads and buns. Vegan and organic items are clearly labelled in English which is very helpful for foreigners who can't read Japanese. They also have a cafe selling light foods but unfortunately I don't remember them having anything that is vegan. Coffee and other drinks have soy milk alternatives for an extra charge. There are some indoor and outdoor seating for those who want to eat in. Overall I recommend this place as a good option downtown with delicious vegan breads made with natural yeast and healthy ingredients.

Pros: Delicious bread with no additives, Clearly labelled vegan items in English, Cozy and clean interior

Cons: Cafe menu is not vegan friendly, A little pricey
