Nice Japanese Style Breads - Edit
The breads are well signed to tell what is vegan and what is not. The breads are tasty with a good selection of around 6 to 10 different types that are vegan. They also do soy coffee hot or cold.

Only vegan bread - Edit
Got there at 9:15am (they open at😄and they only had 4 selections of vegan rolls. Nice place but a disappointment for vegans unless you just want rolls.

Salty Bread Roll - best ever! - Edit
Alpenrose has a lot of vegan options, and they have this salty bread roll which is honestly amazing. They also do sweet flavours like red bean which are also great.

bread fix - Edit
Being a vegan in Japan we don't eat a lot of bread so it was nice to have some at this cute little bakery. The salted bread roll was like a savoury doughnut! Highly recommend and everything is labelled very well.

Rare to find - Edit
In Japanese bakeries and in supermarkets, they all contain milk products so finding this in Happy Cow was really exciting. Luckily our airbnb wasn't far so we stocked up on different assortments of rolls for breakfast and snacks almost every day. Depending on the time of day, they will have different types available. Some include raisin rolls, black sesame rolls, red bean in Japanese flavoured roll (green colour), etc.

good vegan options for a Japanese bakery - Edit
Had a soy latte and the salty yomogi and red bean bun. Both were okay, but nothing to write home about.

Vegan bread! - Edit
I was so glad to see that they sold vegan here. I bought 2 loafs :D They also sell whole leaf green tea and some jellies. I would advise everyone to get there early, but I'm sure if you arrive late like I did, you will still have vegan options.

Nice selection of vegan breads - Edit
I was excited to try this place, as I was looking for a variety of clearly labeled vegan breads, and it did not disappoint! Blueberry bagels, cranberry rolls, and some very nice large rolls (plain or edamame), along with loaves, all clearly labeled vegan. Happy face vegan cookies! Small amount of seating available, and manager spoke English.

Vegan friendly bakery with delicious bread - Edit
A cozy little bakery with fantastic vegan toast breads and buns. Vegan and organic items are clearly labelled in English which is very helpful for foreigners who can't read Japanese. They also have a cafe selling light foods but unfortunately I don't remember them having anything that is vegan. Coffee and other drinks have soy milk alternatives for an extra charge. There are some indoor and outdoor seating for those who want to eat in. Overall I recommend this place as a good option downtown with delicious vegan breads made with natural yeast and healthy ingredients.
