Good after a few days...

ahhh this was frustrating! we stayed at the hotel for 3 nights and by the 3rd dinner it was absolutely lovely but super frustrating to get there. They knew we were vegan in advance but weren't much more helpful than giving us a vegetarian menu with limited vegan options. After talking with the guy in charge of hotel satisfaction, he was great and spoke with the chef who then produced some really good off the menu vegan options for us and the food was superb.

We did have a problem with some chocolate that was promised as vegan by a waiter and then we were told the next day by several staff it was in fact made with cows milk!!

Overall definitely better than some hotel experiences we've had recently in CR (see recent reviews...) but It's a real shame they don't simply put the options they could cook on the menu and have everything clearly marked. Making the food is the hard part not the bit they weren't good at!

The guest satisfaction and waiter supervisor both seemed to really care and wanted feedback on how to do better so hopefully this place will be better for the next vegans who come along! Would definitely recommend the food but you might have to battle to get it!
