Great - Edit
The restaurant is located in the busy area between Gion and Shijo station. They have burgers and a few rice dishes on the menu. The taco rice was excellent and filling. Haven’t tried their fancy drinks but they seem popular with customers.

It's good - Edit
Can't go wrong, nice stuff and cute vibe. The only reason it's not 5 stars is it's just not quite as tasty as some places and soy meat I've had in Japan.

Did I die and go to Vegan Creme Brulee heaven? - Edit
Absolutely delicious food! The burger was wonderful and I had vegan creme brulee for the first time in my life there. It was so delicious that I am pretty sure I died and went to heaven. Ain Soph are known for their delicious deserts, so go there when you are really hungry. In fact, I went a little overboard and ordered too much food because it was all so good!

I'm just sad they closed Ain Soph. Ripple in Tokyo which was my favorite of the brand.
Pros: Delicious Food. No notes, it's perfect
Cons: Ain Soph.Ripple in Tokyo closed, Not closer to where I live ;-)

Pretty good! - Edit
Ordered their top-rated ripple cheese burger. It was hearty; tasted like something you’d get in America, nothing too fancy or special. The first burger they brought out had mold on the bottom bun. They said it was guacamole, but I know the difference between guacamole and mold growing on bread…I just expected them to swap out the bottom bun, but they made a whole new burger, which wasn’t necessary but appreciated. Overall ok, would return to try desserts.

Lovely setting, wonderful food, lots of choice. And really good for Gluten Free too! Everything's vegan so no need for me to worry. And staff very kind and helpful. Dinner is only 6pm - 8pm with last orders at 7pm so you have to get timing right.

Miso Soup!! - Edit
This restaurant definitely has date night vibes! We got the cheese burger, and teriyaki soy chicken with miso soup. All of it was good but the miso soup was amazing. Honorable mention, the soy chicken was chefs kiss. The regular pancake dessert was good, but I don’t recommend it if you’re not a big fan of nuts. My spouse got the crème brûlée and loved it! Definitely very filling, could barely eat our desserts.

京都に来たなら、アインソフジャーニーはマストです。必ず行きましょう‼️
Ain Soph Journey is an ALL-VEGAN restaurant located near the Teramachi shopping arcade in Kyoto. We’re big fans of their sister restaurant in Ikebukuro, so we were excited to give this a try!
We were NOT disappointed. The ambience, the service, and the taste were all top-notch!
The menu features the same burgers that we know and love from Ikebukuro, with some new selections that can only be found here. I enjoyed every bite of my soy meat donburi and mini choco banana parfait ☺️
If you’re in Kyoto, Ain Soph Journey is a MUST visit! Enjoy!

A Perfect Parfait - Edit
I've eaten here long ago for lunch and it was quite good, but I visited again recently for dessert and was really impressed. The seasonal parfait this time was a banana-chocolate-cream creation, with coffee jelly on the bottom and a chocolate medallion on top. The texture balance was phenomenal and the quality of the vegan "cream" very high among all those I've tried. The seating area upstairs is cozy; try and nab the large corner table with the couches if you want to warm up and relax.

Always a must! - Edit
If you're vegan, then eating at any of the Ain Soph restaurants in Japan is definitely a must! It is pricey to eat here, but you won't be disappointed. Wonderful vegan meals and desserts - highly recommend their pancakes which are amazing! I had the matcha pancakes - beautiful presentation, absolutely delicious home made azuki bean paste and creamy white chocolate sauce that had just the right amount of matcha flavour to it. Your taste buds will not want to miss out on this place!

Great lunch - Edit
We came here on our last day and ordered the ripple burger and the deli plate. The burger was really nice, the cheese was flavored well. The deli plate had a huge salad (finally!) on it. We also ordered the set salad, which for 330 yens was very good and voluminous. Staff was also nice and attentive to special requests (i.e. gluten-free, pungent-root free).

A cozy restaurant next to Shinkyogoku Park, Kyoto - Edit
It is a 3-minute walk from Shijo Kawaramachi, just a short walk from the Shinkyogoku shopping street, which is a must-visit for school travelers. This small restaurant is unexpectedly quiet and cozy. The menu is the same at day time and night time, but there are many menus from meals to beverage, and you can be satisfied.

Good, but a bit expensive - Edit
A nice place to go for a meal, but not extremely special, given what it costs compared to other places. Everything was nice, except the omelet was actually quite disappointing. The pancakes are really good though. (But too expensive..)
