Lovely spot for healthy vegan lunch - Edit
Really good food. My husband had the tomato soup and I had the tortilla dish. The dessert all looked amazing. The teas were really good also - I was recommended the ginger tea which was different to what I imagined, but really good. They make a herb water daily (which you can help yourself to)which was strawberry, cranberry, pineapple and mint when we visited, which was really good!

Delicious freshly cooked food - Edit
Yummy meals and a good atmosphere. Slightly slow service due to being full but very welcoming and helpful staff. We will certainly check out the other restaurants in the Ain Soph chain whilst we’re in Japan.

Five Stars!!! - Edit
This was our favourite dinner spot in Kyoto, with the freshest food we have had yet. Not entirely a Japanese menu but such a great variety. Highly recommend.

Good vegan place - Edit
Recently opened, definitely a good option for veg/vegans in Kyoto.
Read moreThey were sold out of a few things when i went at noon for lunch - a bit odd!
I had the green curry which was tasty but didn’t have very much substance. Just green puree and rice and three small blobs of tofu. I ordered the fried soy meat to go with it because i was hungry having not eaten breakfast.
There was a mushroom dish i wanted to have but they had sold out. There was also a paella. Other than that the lunch menu was a bit salady for me as i was after something more substantial.
Pros: vegan, food tasty
Cons: could have more hot meal options

A stumble-upon - Delicious! - Edit
We stumbled upon this vegan restaurant whilst walking in Kyoto. We ordered a Green Curry which was amazing. We also had Soup, NY Cheese Cake and Black Chocolate Cake awesome soy cream - these where also excellent. The chef is a lovely Japanese guy that you can tell loves his profession. I highly recommend this restaurant.

centrally located, amazing food and cool decor! - Edit
I’ve been to one of the Tokyo branches of Ain Soph, and so was really happy to hear it was coming to Kyoto! The location is great, right in the middle of town. The food is excellent! Uses the freshest and most delicious ingredients to create really special dishes.
