Ate here every day! - Edit
We were in Kyoto for four days and ate there four night running. Great choices for gluten-free. All very tasty and generous servings. I went for the Taco Rice salad every evening. The matcha pancake was well worth the additional 20 minutes it takes for them to make it fresh for you.

Another great Ain Soph meal - Edit
We were excited to see that there is an Ain.Soph in Kyoto. We had a great lunch at the one in Ginza (Tokyo) earlier this week. Dinner here gave us an opportunity to order off the menu (whereas lunch was a set menu in Tokyo). The options are a variety of burgers, salads, and curries. We are a family of four that tried each type of food. Everything was very flavorful and delicious! The service was great and fast. (The menus are in English and waitstaff speak in English.)
Read morePros: Lots of Delicious vegan options (and desserts), Friendly service, Vegan “meats” were tasty
Cons: A little expensive (but worth it)

One of the best burgers ever! - Edit
Everything was amazing here. The Ripple Cheeseburger is one of the best burgers I’ve had, and I eat a lot of veggie burgers. The other two sandwiches were just as good! I went here four times in the week I spent in Kyoto.

A blessing in Japan for Vegans - Edit
In a country where English is not spoken or understood and even a vegetarian ramen could contain fish sauce, this place was like a blessing. My wife is a vegan and we were struggling until we found this cosy little place in Kyoto. It's a Vegan restaurant and therefore no chance of going wrong. To add, the waiter (Tom,) could speak English and served with a smile! The food was amazing! Slightly expensive but not something which will make a hole in your pocket. Overall a great experience!!

Best “chicken” I ever had! - Edit
Sadly by the time I have arrived (1h before closing) most main dishes were sold out but still glad I’ve tried the side dishes and honestly the “chicken” was to die for!

Kyoto’s Gem - Edit
We came a bit late and our first choice, which was the cheeseburger, was already sold out. We ordered the other two (cutler and soy chicken burger). Amazing both! Additionally we tried deep fried soy cutlets and Kara-age. Everything was so tasty. The service was great and fast. So happy to finally have a tasteful dinner and not the ”usual” watery soups at the non vegan restaurants.
Read moreI have to say, and this is personal preference, the decoration style wasn’t my taste, but of course we came for the food. Just saying
For sure will visit it again

Seated right away, English speaking staff is nice but not necessary as the menu is super clear and well done with photos and descriptions. They let us know that the matcha pancake would take 20 minutes, which is awesome to know ahead of time.

We found this place by accident and were very happy about it, they’ve got a selection of vegan burgers and other plates. We got the green curry and mushroom soup and both were delicious and very filling. They also give you a free dessert if you leave a review and they deserve a 10/10 one :))
