Not Keen On The Waste But Affordable Filling Up - Edit
Ahimsa Buffet is incredibly affordable and gives you plenty of time to eat from a wide variety of food choices.
Read moreIt was a big buffet spread and you can certainly get yourself full for relatively little cost. There were a few tasty gems amongst all of the options but, once one of them has been exhausted, they are usually replaced by completely different dishes. Potentially, this should allow for even more variety in your eating experience but, when a lot of the more popular dishes disappeared, they tended to bring out a lot of "samey" choices. The options we had in our first 30 minutes were completely different to what we had from that point to the end.
The interior and actual dining experience was one of the most "No-frills" we've had in HK so far and that was fine considering the cost. Besides the food, there's not a lot encouraging you to spend a great deal of time here.
The one glaringly negative aspect of our visit was that, at the end of the service and the closing of the buffet (we were there until the end), that the staff proceeded to throw all of the unselected buffet items directly into bins. The waste!
Ahmisa is definitely an option for the budget-conscious and can be recommended as such.
Pros: Extremely Affordable., Big Buffet Spread That's Regularly Replenished.
Cons: Throwing Perfectly Good Food Away., Quality Not Maintained Throughout Service., "Functional" Dining Experience.
