How does a restaurant with good food get a bad review? (If the food had not been so good, I would have given the place ONE star.) When we arrived, the service was efficient, but indifferent. Orders were placed (a party of 5), and food began to come out. No plates came with the appetizers, and after requesting plates, stainless steel serving plates were brought. No serving utensils were given or offered; we had to ask. When the main courses started to arrive (also without utensils), the used appetizer plates were left as our dinner plates. Bottled carbonated water was ordered (the tap water there is terrible) and a replacement round was brought with the main courses (which were excellent) and that was the last time anyone bothered to look at us. Almost an hour later, I had to get up and go to the register (still nobody glancing in our direction) and ask for a check, which was located, and handed to me wordlessly. I paid by credit card, and again, not a single word was exchanged... no NOTHING. What would it have cost someone to have said "How was everything?" or "Thank you for coming!" Yes, the restaurant had just opened recently, and they were busy— but that's hardly a valid excuse.
This is apparently a third location for this company (the others are in NY and NJ), so they're not first-time in the restaurant business; they should have known better.

Good South Indian Dosas - Edit
Great dosa place in stamford with an all vegetarian menu and many vegan options. If you like Indian spices go for the bullet or gunpowder dosa!

Pros: Excellent food, Prices are not unreasonable for the area, Pleasant interior, tables not crammed together
Cons: Poor service (See review), Parking tricky— small (6-car) lot, very tight, Unfriendly staff
