Vegan Tasting Menu - Edit
Recently re-opened at a new location in downtown Stamford. Had the vegan tasting menu with a side of garlic rice. The injera was really good and there are 8 different vegan options to choose from. The tasting menu lets you choose 4 of the 8. If you like garlic I highly recommend trying the garlic rice.

Phenomenal! And authentic. - Edit
Damn! I’ve eaten vegan Ethiopian on both coasts in a number of cities and Teff is unique and delicious. Be warned: the food is actually spicy unlike most Ethiopian spots in NYC. But if you can handle it, it’s fantastic. The injera is gluten-free, and you get to choose from many vegan options to create your platter. Friendly service too.

Cons: Not for the spice faint of heart

Super good service, super good food - Edit
Always love Ethiopian, pretty much a comfort food. The menu was super easy to read for vegans and non-vegans which is always appreciated. And someone was going around showing newcomers how to use their hands to eat which is super smart. Overall, great service and delicious food.

Amazing Vegan Food in Stamford - Edit
Teff was the first place I ever tried Ethiopian food and I've been hooked ever since.
Read moreHalf of the menu is dedicated to vegan dishes and everything is clearly marked. Food is served as a tasting menu or as a main with two sides that you get to pick, all served on top fresh injera bread. My top recommendations are Shiro, Timtumo, Ingudai Tibs (if you like mushrooms) but I've never been disappointed with anything I've ordered.
Also, Teff is one of the very few restaurants in Stamford that caters to vegans which is super appreciated!
Pros: Ethiopian food is amazing, Vegan menu, Large selection
Cons: Closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Amazing! - Edit
I'm vegan and my husband is not and we both loved it! Delicious tasting options for both. I agree with everyone's raves previously posted - amazing flavors, fun to eat with your fingers using the injera bread as a scoop, excellent service, quaint space. Note that they have a small parking lot (available after 6, I think) just a short hop down Mill River St. We missed it, and because parking is so difficult in the area we had quite a hike. Loved everything about Teff and thought prices were very reasonable. We'll be back soon!

Authentic Ethiopian Experience - Edit
Many of the ingredients are handmade by the owners family in Ethiopia- you can't beat that. It's a fun, quaint restaurant - makes for a comfortable dining experience. They are familiar with VEGAN dining and are excited to explain the vegan options and share what's available. Their service was fantastic! They have a VEGAN section on the menu with 10 options for entrees. We went with a large group, everyone ordered something vegan and we swapped and tried each others- so many different flavors- all delicious. Also, so fun to eat with the traditional house-made injera (sourdough crepe like bread) - enjoy eating with your hands- it's fun!

Don't be put off by the somewhat sketchy neighborhood, Teff is a real find.
