Local vegetarian restaurant & take away on the West Bank of the Nile which you can enter via road or boat “Stella”. Typical vegan Egyptian cuisine which may include falafel, stuffed auburgine, lentil soup, etc. None of the dishes are clearly labeled, so vegans please inquire with staff.

This is not a vegetarian restaurant

This is not a vegetarian restaurant. They have a meat and fish menu and a vegetarian menu.
I had no other options for food at night and had to eat here. I was served reheated food from the fridge and freshly made French fries that were soggy.

Located on the westbank

Just go to left when you arrived the westbank, for example with the public ferry (10 EP Oneway). There are lots of restaurants on the river, also this one with great food.

Cute local hidden gem

I discovered this place walking on the west bank and was delighted to find it was fully vegetarian. Since it is hidden away from tourist areas, it is very cheap (My sister and I got a 3 course meal for 220EGP) but everything is fresh and local. Only con is that staff does not really understand veganism due to lack of understanding of english and menu is unlabeled, but if you know egyptian food it is easy to tell what is vegan. We had mango juice, falafel, stuffed aubergine, lentil soup, and fruit salad, which were all vegan and delicious!

Pros: Cheap, Delicious, Amazing view of nile

Cons: Vegan dishes are not labeled , Issues with understanding veganism
