With seafood in its name and seafood aromas in the air, this is not a place for everyone. However, this store does offer a large freezer near the back of the store full of Verisoy products, both vegetarian and vegan. Verisoy vegan products include pork, ham, chicken, fish balls, shrimp, and crab. There are a few other brands of frozen vegan fish. Also stocks vegan versions of custard powder, ramen, and various sauces. Open Mon-Sun 8:00am-8:00pm.

So many vegan treats!

This is a great grocery store! They have so many things that are difficult to find at other stores, especially in Albuquerque.

They have SO MANY kinds of fake meats, both in a huge chest freezer and in one of the dried goods aisles. In the frozen section I bought some fake shrimp, fake shredded crab, and bean curd sausage. Make sure to check out the dried fake meats, too, which are cheaper. I bought dried soy chunks in "slices" and the more classic mini-meatballs. I don't see soy chunks very often in the US but they are really easy to cook with and easy to add to curries, stews, roasts, and marinades.

999 has a huge selection of noodles, spicy sauces, Asian produce, teas, as well as harder-to-find things like tapioca starch, chickpea flour, arrowroot, agar agar, miso, kimchi, and other specialty ingredients vegan recipes sometimes use. I was happy to find buckwheat noodles, glutinous rice flour for DIY mochi, and tapioca balls for DIY bubble tea.

To me, this is a *must visit* for vegans who like to cook and bake and for anyone who wants to experiment with fake meats. They do sell fish, so it's not for everyone, but the vegan-friendly products they do offer made it absolutely worth it for me. The fish counter is in the back so you don't have to walk past it if you don't want. When I visited, the fake meat freezer was in one of the chests closest to the back of the dry goods aisles. The staff can help you find whatever you're looking for.

Pros: Huge variety, Stocks hard-to-find ingredients, Affordable

Cons: Large fish counter at back of the store

Vegan frozen foods!

This is my go-to for frozen fake meats. They usually have vegan shrimp, fish, etc. Read the ingredient list carefully, as a few items contain egg. There is a whole, long chest freezer full of options. The shrimp is amazing.

Pros: So many options!, Affordable

Cons: Also stocks fish, which is off-putting
