Tasty Lunch Near Ron Robinson Theater - Edit
On Friday, June 7th I enjoyed lunch at 4Square Gifts. I asked the associate for vegan recommendations. I opted for Chickpea/Hummus in a Spinach Wrap, warmed/grilled and served with chips. It had just the right amount of spice. I got a Peanut Butter Cookie and a Chocolate-covered Peanut Butter Date for dessert. The associate gave me a sample of their tasty veggie burger patty.
Read moreI was served promptly (there weren’t other customers at the time). The associate was very pleasant and offered suggestions about other things to do in the area.
There’s small indoor dining area with tables and stools. They do accept credit cards.
They also have vegetarian items on their menu. (I don't remember if they have omnivore menu items.)
The place is just a few doors down from the Ron Robinson Theater.
I planned to dine there the next day but discovered my conference events were located in another part of town so I wasn’t able to return.
The next time I’m in the area I’d dine at 4Square Gifts.
Pros: Tasty food, Small indoor dining area, Pleasant staff

Chickpea Wrap Off :( - Edit
I couldn’t eat my food cause it tasted super off. Ordered the chickpea wrap. Smelled bad too. I felt too badly to take it back, it was only $10. The place is weird. The lady was talking on her phone the whole time and wasn’t helpful with the menu. The vegan cookie was super hard and probably kinda old. I would skip this place. Also, the vegan place across the street in the market building was closed

Yummy food, such sweet people! - Edit
I stopped here with my parents on a roadtrip, and this place was amazing! I got the black bean burger and tofu wrap (veganized), and my folks got the black bean and veggie burgers. We talked about how delicious the food was all the way back home! The food counter is in a gift shop, which also had a big selection of veg-friendly snacks and treats. Staff was very nice and gave us some delicious spiced nuts that they’d made - highly recommend those as well!

Good lunch option for vegan and vegetarian - Edit
We had a vegetarian grilled sandwich, a vegan wrap, vegan soup and a vegan smoothie. All very good. Friendly owners very willing to discuss vegan options.

Long wait, and not comfortable with their understanding of vegan versus vegetarian.

Tried to support them but they failed - Edit
I was looking for some vegan options and walked from my hotel to this place. Sign on door said they opened at 11...it was 11:15 and they weren't open. I called them and they said they were running behind on morning prep and would be open in 2 mins.
Read moreWhen we got in they had a great selection of vegan options on the menu. As I tried to order, I was told they were out of tofu, masala and couple of other items that I wanted. In an attempt to salvage the experience, I asked for some oatmeal. The server that was trying to help us said "the chef that makes that was not in" and they didn't have oatmeal-seriously?!
Epic fail here! I'm sure the food would have been good if they had the ingredients to make it.
Pros: Lots of vegan options
Cons: They were out of the vegan ingredients.

The food was so so. Fine for a quick stop. The person we ordered from did not remember that eggs were not vegan.

Stopped in here because I went to Farmers Market. It was close .. would recommend a stop here .. I can't really say this was a restaurant but a gift shop that makes sandwiches, etc. The night here for me ..This is the first place that I found that sells local kombucha.

Delicious vegetarian sandwiches & wraps - Edit
4square is my go-to restaurant when I am in downtown Little Rock. There are plenty of choices of sandwiches, wraps, & salads - most are fairly simple but good nonetheless. It's run by an Indian family, so some of the sandwiches have Indian influences - and those are the best ones. They've got tons of smoothies and a mango lassi (my favorite!). The atmosphere is a mixed bag depending on what you're looking for - part of it is a tourist shop with lots of Arkansas souvenirs & locally made jams & sauces, as well as imported Indian bags & clothes.

Cons: not a normal restaurant/cafe atmosphere, very slow service when busy

Vegan friendly shop with gluten free options - Edit
Was pleasantly surprised to find a vegan friendly shop in Little Rock while passing through on our family road trip from Virginia to Texas. I ordered the Mediterranean wrap for my husband without feta cheese (which he said was delicious!) and I was going to order mine on a gluten free wrap (I have celiac disease) and the sweet lady helping me said that unfortunately they were out of gluten free wraps which they usually do carry. Usually at that point I just smile and order food for the rest of the family and eat a banana in the car :) but the shop lady was so helpful and must have seen the hungry look on my face after driving for 18 plus hours and kindly suggested I try the chickpea curry and basmati rice with hummus and cucumbers on the side which was both gluten free and vegan. Let me tell you, it is delicious. I split it with my four year old who ate more than me! My husband went in to purchase more rice to go with the large serving of chickpea curry we received and she generously gave us a whole side of rice for free which my son is currently devouring. Thanks, 4square! Wonderful service and amazing food.

Great downtown location - Edit
I really want to like 4square because it is the only vegan food in downtown Little Rock and right by my usual hotel. The place is immaculate, the people are nice, but the vegan/vegetarian choices are limited to a few uninspired wraps. Beats starving if you're stuck downtown, but I would recommend The House when visiting LR.

Nice Place - Edit
4square Gifts is an awesome and first vegetarian deli in Little Rock, AR. We were there with my kids and found the place very nice. Service was great and food was fresh. Love the place. Will visit again. Portobello with Tofu is wonderful and worth trying. I also saw a flier about chick pea curry (india style) with rice.
