Great find - Edit
I’m so glad I found them on Happy Cow. Close to my hotel downtown and open every day except Sunday. The problem is I couldn’t decide what to get as everything is vegan and sounded delicious! A great problem to have though. I opted for the burrito to get some veggies in me but the fries were also fantastic. The owner was so so nice too ❤️

Personalized Vegan Gift Cards! - Edit
This is one of my moms favorite vegan places to eat and so it was the perfect anniversary date night gift. Blue Sage has wonderful service and hand delivered this gift. I was so grateful since I live so far away. ❤️ Absolutely wonderful customer service.

Vegan Family Road Trip - Edit
Definitely a hidden gem for vegans in Little Rock, Arkansas. The food selection was limited (timing on our part) but clearly put together with love. Gracious staff that chatted with us and gave us some awesome stickers when we left. The fryer was down for the day as we arrived minutes before closing. I would have loved some fries to go with the delicious burger they prepared. Will definitely have to come here next time we visit Little Rock!

Vegan Goodness - Edit
One reviewer was disappointed at the small selection of offerings and they fact that they serve a Beyond Burger. One must consider the location- its Arkansas. The owner told me many of her customers don’t even know they are ordering plant-based food. Anyway, now that I’ve got that out of the way. It’s classic southern vegan food including fried chik’in items. Always ask what the daily special is! When I went it was a Philly Cheese Steak and it was quite tasty. Support women owned small business and you won’t be disappointed with this one!

Stopped in on my cross country road trip. Needed some good fuel for the trek, and that is exactly what I got! Tacos were slammin, and the chikn sandwich was off the chart!

Don’t trust posted hours - Edit
Would have loved to try this place, but they weren’t open in the middle of posted hours. Even checked their Instagram for updates. Nothing. Just closed.

We came for the first time today and also found it closed. We spoke with the owner and found out they were out of togo plates.. So we got boxes from neighboring booths and had them make us food.

Blue Sage Get a Blue Ribbon From Me - Edit
Excited to try food from this 100% vegan restaurant in downtown Little Rock. When I called to ask if any menu items contain nuts, the employee on the phone was extremely friendly and helpful in assisting me with ordering food over the phone. I decided to get their grilled cheese sandwich as well as a chik'n fried sandwich while hubby got spicy mushroom tacos, a specialty brat they're debuting, and their spiral fries.
Read moreI really appreciated the amount of time and patience the employee gave while assisting me with ordering food over the phone. After confirming the order on the phone, I was told the food would be ready at 4pm since all items are made to order. Once we paid for our order, I received an email confirming my order along with an itemized cost of the food and instructions for how to pick up the food once it was ready.
Prior to picking up our food order, we had to call at least ten minutes in advance since the food is made to order. Upon eating our food, we were both delighted by the way in which the food was prepared and presented. I liked that they used Texas toast for the grilled cheese, cauliflower for the chick'n fried steak sandwich, and the super fine way in which they made their spiral fries. Hubby loved the mushroom tacos and is seriously considering using mushrooms for tacos in the future. We'll definitely eat here again the next time we visit the area!
Pros: Responsive to those with food allergies, Friendly staff

Super disappointing - Edit
My husband and I went to the River Front Market specifically to eat at Blue Sage Vegan Bistro. When we got there we saw that they only had 4 things on the menu- a Beyond burger (for $10), a breakfast patty melt ($10), a chick'n fried steak ($9) and a "raisin bread breakfast sammie." Especially in a city with so few vegan options, this was a total let-down. While maybe it's a good opportunity to introduce the Beyond burger to meat eaters (though it's hard to imagine meat eaters going there?), I can obviously buy one at the supermarket and make it at home myself. With such a small menu to choose from, there wasn't anything compelling to order there and we ended up eating elsewhere. Really poor representation of what vegan food can be.

They normally have a lot more to offer, but some days they sell out. That is a normal thing for many smaller businesses.

If you want good fried food - Edit
Pretty small menu every day, but they are in a tiny stall and they make all their food very close to when you order it. Hits the spot when you want something bad for you- I had a chik'n fried steak and it was fantastic! My wait time was super long because of a conference nearby, dont get in line if there's more than one or two people ahead of you. But the river market is a great place to go if you have a big group with different eating preferences

I've been here about 3 times, and every time I haven't been disappointed. I've had several of the menu items, including the Chick’n Fried Steak Sandwich & BBQ cauliflower wings.

Cool spot! - Edit
This is in an indoor market/food court set up. It was pretty quiet given the set up. I got the Philly cheese and tots and my bf got the chicken sandwich and fries. He wasn't crazy about the string fries but we loved everything else. It did take just a few minutes longer than expected given we were the first order of the day, but it was a relaxing environment to wait in.

Grease bomb - Edit
It pains me to leave a negative review on a vegan restaurant but the food was pretty gross. Friendly people but slow service, and the 3 things they had left to serve that day were some of the greasiest food I’ve ever seen. I appreciate vegan options in bbq country but some healthy vegan options would be even better.

Sorry you had a bad experience ~ Can I ask what you ordered ??
Read moreIf I recall correctly, that was our busiest day so far and it must have been pretty late in the day with only three items left to choose from left on the menu. Given that, I encourage you to give us another try. We offer a Supa Fresh Bowl that contains nothing fried and boasts 25+ grams of protein. Come early, though as that’s one of our most popular dishes!

Amazing!! - Edit
The food was out of this world delicious, and customer service was excellent! We are traveling through from out of state and were unaware that closing time was at 3pm, we called and they still served us which was life saving being the only vegan spot in town! 10/10 recommend, we will be back for sure! :)

Tasty "Don't Be Chick'n Sandwich" ! - Edit
