Best place for Egyptian food - Edit
Zooba is my favourite place to eat authentic Egyptian food. They have many vegan options which are clearly marked and staff understand what ‘vegan’ means.

Not worth the hype - Edit
Although the food is labeled... double check on the vegan options, as some of the items containing cheese were labeled vegan.
Read moreThe falafel was one of the less tasty I had in Cairo. The foul was hard and cold. The cauliflower was super spicy, even for my egyptian friends and was cold. And it is very expensive if compared to most places.
I'd go somewhere else.
Cons: Mediocre food.

Awesome Vegan Food - Edit
I really love that you can get completely vegan traditional Egyptian food. As a tourist I want to get to experience the culture so diving into the flavors of the land is a great way to do that.

no more whole grain koshari - Edit
Unfortunately they stopped serving the whole grain koshari... What a shame, this was their best vegan meal... Not going there anymore. Normal koshari you can find everywhere and much cheaper.

Your Average Egyptian Food - Edit
A trendy restaurant serving your average Egyptian food only in a ''cooler'' decor and with clearly marked veg/vegan options on the menu.
Read moreA little on the oily side, just like any other street food vendor.
The lentil soup and beetroot salad are really yum, many dips/snacks are available to go, and there is home delivery.
I personally don't eat heavy Egyptian foods, but it's definitely worth checking out at least once during your stay in Cairo.
Pros: Good value, Clearly marked options, Tasty
Cons: I don't like the metal plates they serve in
