Yummy mexican comfort food

Usually lots of options to choose from but i always get a seitan colorado burrito. The green salsa is not vegan but the red one is and it's delicious. The guys who own it are very friendly and they have great service.

In reference to another review on here, they have changed the pricing structure from 'by the pound' to a fixed price per menu item. Oh and their monthly 'vegans at night' event is great!

Pros: Vegans at night, Friendly and welcoming

Cons: Can be a little inconsistent in terms of quality

Vegan monthly night!

Apparently they have a vegan night every month. We tasted almost everything and everything was super tasty. On regular days they should have some of these dishes, but really everything was good.

Best Jackfruit in 11 years!

So say them in happy cow. Traveling with 3 non vegans so I'm usually in my own. Walked over but they were opening late because highway construction kept employees from being on time. A gentleman came outside and asked if he could help. Told him I was vegan and came for their options, he said they'd be open in 30 minutes then quickly said "nah come in it we'll get you something". That's customer service! I got a jackfruit burrito & a seitan burrito. One for now one for the Greyhound to Lordsburg. The in house made tortilla was the perfect texture, the jackfruit had the flavorful heat that I aim for and miss when I try myself. Also it was a vegan special day so they were $5 a burrito. After 11 years vegan I'm fairly skeptical but this place is a solid win.

Pros: Menus is 1/2 vegan, A lot of options, All made in house including tortillas

Cons: Not 100% vegan but in El Paso that's tough

Vegan Nights & Half of their Usual Menu is Vegan!

Zona Centro has several vegan options. We went for vegan nights, however a staff member advised half of their normal menu is vegan.

I really don't know what everything is called, it would actually be very helpful if they were able to add labels. There were at least 13 options plus additional sauces. It was great to have so many options.

As you move through the line you ask for what you would like added to your plate, then at the end it is weighed for pricing. I don't prefer this style of pricing because I feel like I never know how much something will cost. We spent around $36 for two plates and 1 drink which we found to be a bit expensive.

I'm not sure of everything we purchased but I will review the few I am aware of.

Impossible Gorditas: Delicious. The impossible vegan protein was good per usual and the gordita had a nice flavor.

Chicken Poblano Mole: Really disappointed. It tasted like a strange type of curry, not like mole.

All of the other dishes were just okay. The flavor wasn't particularly great, but not terrible either.

Jamaica: I love this drink. It is sweetened hibiscus tea. It can be a bit strong, but I always get this drink anywhere it is available.

Although we did like many of these options, we still prefer La Ruda Chilaquieria, Juicery Plus and Lick It Up food truck for, in our opinion, better tasting food at a better price.

They advertise Taco Tuesdays ($2/taco, Lick it Up Food Truck offers 5 tacos for $9.75 on a regular basis) and it appears that they have vegan options for that, so we will likely visit again for that special. They seem to have regular updates on their Facebook page which was helpful.

In sum they offer a lot of vegan options on a regular basis and have vegan nights. It isn't our favorite option in El Paso.

We did not see their restrooms so we are unsure if they were gender neutral.
Per their Facebook page, they are LGBT friendly and support the El Paso Pride Parade.

We wish they would have compostable plant plastic or actual dinnerware for their cups, straws and dishes (it's all single use).

Pros: Half of their menu is normally vegan, Offer vegan nights were all vegan food is sold, LGBT friendly

Cons: Quality is lacking compared to other places, Food is weighed for price, so pricing isn't clear, Single use containers only
