Some of the best vegan Chinese food in the area. Kind and accommodating owners. - Edit
We love the black bean tofu and vegetable fried rice - no egg. Just let them know you are vegan while ordering and they will help! I love supporting zom hee.

Mixed veggies was mostly bok choy stalks - Edit
I ordered mixed vegetables and added black mushrooms ($3 up charge). This dish was almost completely bok choy stalks. I had a total of one mushroom head in the dish. There were a few pieces of broccoli and carrots. All was over cooked and mushy. Sauce was very bland. Disappointing as this place came highly recommended by several folks.

A longtime favorite! - Edit
I’ve been eating at Zom Hee for a decade now, and it’s always great! Kenny and David are always so friendly, and the kitchen is generally great at accommodating vegans (make sure to tell them you’re vegan so they don’t use chicken broth in your meal).
Read moreMy favorites are salt and pepper tofu, black bean tofu, and hung shu tofu, but you can also alter many dishes usually made with meat (like curry shrimp and spicy orange chicken) to be made with tofu instead.
Also be sure to check out the ‘80s-era cocktail menu, complete with ‘80s prices. Very kitschy and a real throwback (the restaurant was opened in the mid-‘80s, and I’m pretty sure these are their original menus). Definitely pay this place a visit!

A vintage Chinese favorite - Edit
Atmosphere is very 70s, the drinks are tiki style, and the staff is so accommodating. My vegan friends and I go crazy for the sat and pepper tofu, add broccoli. Make sure to ask for no bouillon in the vegetarian dishes and they are willing to make dishes off menu most of the time, such as orange tofu or Kung pao style tofu
