Most of the items on the menu can be made vegan. Let them know you're vegan, and pick a vegan protein (veggie strips or jackfruit), and they'll swap dairy with plantbased options.

They mixed up our orders - Edit
Went there with a group of people with vegans, vegetarians and meateaters. We ordered and when we got it all out they didnt know which ones were vegan, vegetarian or meat. Which made it all so complicated, we had the meateaters try all the dishes to say what was what.

This is a chain that you'll find in several cities and many of their dishes can be made vegan. The fillings are often based on fake-meats and various other fillings that hold quite a nice level of quality, also there are several condiments that are pleasant (e.g. pickled onions, fresh coriander etc.).
Read moreOne of the best dishes is the vegan quesadilla, the cheese melts excellently and the flavour is good, the filling vary but you're not left disappointed by anything other than the size and price - which could be significantly better.
They also offer a range of Mexican beverages that are quite nice.
The only complaint would be the staff, which has so far been either complacent or outrightly rude at every single venue.

This place is great. Super quick and tasty vegan burrito. The jackfruit filling sorta freaked me out because the texture was so meaty, but the flavor was great. I would definitely go back and recommend it!

Zocalo is the first place I've seen in Uppsala that serves high quality vegan fast food and take-away food. They always give you something good, and it's easy to get some variety even if you're there often.
