Taunton has one of the best Zizzi - Edit
When I am out and about I know that Zizzi is always worth a visit because they have a dedicated vegan menu. But having been to a few across the country I am delighted to say that my local Taunton branch is the best. I know they all have the same food but for some reason the team in Taunton manage to get it right every time. The food is hot, they don't scrimp on the vegetables and the service is always personal. I say this because I have been to other branches and experienced cold garlic bread, not enough veg on the pizza and average service. The building is getting refurbished over the next couple of months but I look forward to going again in the summer.

A real treat for pizza-loving vegans but could do with more options - Edit
Okay so it's a chain but I love how the vegan menu is growing and changing. The pizza is always amazing and I think it is great that you can choose which toppings you want. The puddings are also always decadent.
Read moreAlthough the menu is adapting there are still only limited options and the prices are fairly high, but it's what you would expect from a chain like this.
Pizzas are a good size and always filling, but pasta dishes and salads are too small for the price.
This particular restaurant is inside an old church and has a lovely feel to it. It is very open and the atmosphere is very calm, however, it can feel a little crowded at peak times.
I recommend booking in advance for evening meals but it is usually quiet around lunch.
Pros: Amazing pizza, Decadent desserts
Cons: Limited options, Quite pricey, Can be crowded
