Beautiful Patio, Delicious Food - Edit
The fact that I got four people fed plus an app for the table in DTLA for under $100 is unheard of. The food was delicious, and the setting was beautiful, with an olive tree-filled outdoor patio that tamed the summer heat. The dining is more casual than the setting let’s on, as you order from the bar and bring a buzzer back to your seat. But the food is where it’s really at. A full vegetarian menu with plenty of vegan substitution items. And I’m also kind of amazed that there’s absolutely no posturing about the restaurant BEING vegetarian. It simply is. You’ll only realize that the sliders aren’t meat if you read the description; you’ll only notice that all the pizza options are meatless and can be cheeseless if you look closely. So refreshing to kind of ditch that signaling and just eat vegetarian like it’s a normal thing! Loved it, will be back!

Not vegan-friendly - Edit
A vegetarian restaurant that labels gluten-free items but refuses to label for vegans. When I asked what is vegan on the menu, the staff said some items we can take the cheese out and some we can’t. So … what’s vegan on the menu?! There were only two items the staff could point to as already vegan and wanted me to place an order for any other items before they told me if it could even be made vegan. More concerned about helping your gluten-free customers than your vegan ones? Okay, no vegan business.

Market Place Food is Great! - Edit
While the regular cafe menu doesn’t have too many vegan options (although they added vegan cheese recently which is awesome) - the hot bar in the Marketplace is amazing. They have a rotating selection of food and most of it is vegan. The servers have always been very knowledgeable of what is vegan and what isn’t. You pick the food, they load up the tray, and you pay by weight.

Food is fresh - lots of options - veggies, lentils, quinoa, tofu, etc.
Pros: Healthy food, Good space
Cons: Cafe menu has few vegan options

Vegetarians & vegan beware! - Edit
Saw on their menu online that they use cheese. Called to ask if any of the cheese uses animal rennet. The guy wasn't sure, he had to ask. The answer was most of their cheese have animal rennet. I'm vegetarian and do not eat in places that use any meat product. It's a good habbit to call first and ask, many restaurants call themselves vegetarian but have no clue what it means, they use animal rennet cheese and some even use chicken broth for their soups.

Cons: Not vegetarian, Uses cheeses made with animal rennet.
