Kaiseki dinner - Edit
We booked kaiseki dinner with our reservation. They specifically noted that they could accommodate vegan diets. About a week before our trip, I emailed to confirm and they noted that we would be getting fully vegan dinners.
Read moreThe meals, from the attention to detail and creativity, service, and pace/coursing were absolutely perfection. We stayed two nights and expected the same meal twice, but we received two completely different meals, down to the rice.
Unlike other kaiseki meals we'd had before this one, we never felt rushed. Everything moved nice and slow as the rice cooked in a hot pot beside us. Some standouts were the tofu dishes (soft slow cooked tofu salad, tofu sausage, tofu with bamboo), the vegetable broths, the mushroom rice, and funny enough, the corn chowder.
