Best vegan options I tried in the area - Edit
There are a lot of vegan options here and the food is really good! The staff is really helpful with explaining what vegan options there are, if you need clarification. Don’t be afraid to ask them for help if you need it! I ended up coming here multiple times during my trip to Albufeira.
Read moreI got the vegan pad thai with tofu and it was tasty! I also tried the massaman curry, and it was good, not my cup of tea but I understand why other people might enjoy it.
It was my first time trying Thai food and I was pleasantly surprised, I definitely want to start eating Thai food more often after coming here.

They easily explained the vegan options as soon as I asked. I had the money bags (a starter) which were tasty, kind of just like a spring roll though. And I had the vegan pad thai tofu, this was really really good. Very flavorful and loaded with different types of veggies.

Very good meal, the yellow curry (veggie)was super tasty and flavourful, the vegetables were well cooked and had the perfect texture. Came with Jasmin rice which was good too.

A basic front facing bar/restaurant with a Thai menu and a few vegan options. Pad Thai was fairly good but a little bland. Curry was runny but tasty but unfortunately a few cat hairs (they said were fibres from bamboo shoots). Singha Thai beer good, house white wine bad.

We had dumplings, spring rolls and pad thai. I thought the pad thai was amazing! But the spring rolls and dumplings felt expensive for what they were.

This restaurant is situated in Old Town Albufeira. Lots of shopping and restaurants but Yoya’s is an excellent choice. Several choices for vegans and vegetarians.

Enjoyed this lovely dish which was served with white rice. I had a large fresh orange too. After reading the previous review, I made sure to clarify that I was vegan and explained about the no fish sauce, no dairy etc and had no issues.

So, the staff were lovely and the food was fantastic, but they did originally send our pad Thai out with egg on it, so it had to be remade. I think the problem is that the serving staff aren’t Thai but the kitchen staff are, so it is being lost in translation. The server is putting vegan but they’re reading that as veg - you need to ensure they state no egg, no milk, no fish sauce. Wouldn’t go again, or would go but would insist on speaking to kitchen staff to repeat our order.

Had vegan options on the menu, ordered the vegetable spring rolls & vegan Pad Thai.. spring rolls came, didn’t look anything special, ate one & thought this tastes funny. When I looked inside I thought this seems like meat, called the waiter over .. they’d only served me MEAT spring rolls!!!!! When I said to the waiter I ordered the vegetable ones, he said they didn’t have any!!! To say I’m upset is an understatement!! This place needs removing from happy cow!!

Read moreWe can imagine that in the same way as for you, for religious people who would not eat pork and ordered and ate a pork chop it would be upsetting to them.
Of course we would have liked you to be satisfied as our client, a thing which is our highest priority.
Having said that we must emphasize that we do not have any ´´vegetable´´ spring rolls on the menu. It does not say ´´vegetable´´ nor has it a sign of Vegan/vegetarian attached to it on the menu. As a side note even a ´´vegetable´´ spring roll in most cases would contain egg and would not have been classified as vegan either.
Now,we do not pretend to be a vegan restaurant.
We do have however, indeed wonderful and lovely vegan options (please read our other reviews), but as we do serve meat, fish and egg it is always recomendable to clearly verify that the option chosen is 100% vegan if that is expected.
Please join us again and we will happily and readily, having learned from your experience, guide you completely through the Vegan options!
