Serves meat, vegan options available. Chinese restaurant serving vegan noodle dishes including jjamppong and jjajangmyeon. Also serves vegan mushroom sweet and sour stew. Open Mon-Sun 12:00pm-9:00pm.
This place is a great option in Daegu! It has an inconspicious appearance but they are happy to make a vegan jajamyeong on request. The taste was great and the price (6000 won) is really great for the amount of food you get!
They have three vegan dishes: jjajangmyun (and the diff variations of jjajangmyun), jjamppong, and a mushroom dish. They make every one of these separately from the meat dishes so you do have to order two servings of jjajangmyun if you want that, but I highly recommend- I can’t tell that it’s different from the meat jjajangmyun I’ve had in the past and it’s the best I’ve had in probably 10 years. They also ask if you can have onion so Jain-friendly. Also incredibly cheap, it was 13 usd for 2 jjajangmyun and jjamppong.
There may be no separate vegan/vegetarian menu but when you ask staff, they will kindly veganize Jjajangmyeon 채식짜장면, Jjamppong 채식짬뽕 and Sweet & Sour Mushrooms 표고탕수 for you.
It is also possible to order food Allium-free, i.e. without garlic, onion, scallions etc.
The restaurant specializes in serving hand-made noodles.
