Hmmm... - Edit
No tofu dishes on the menu- the only tofu is in the miso soup, which is , thankfully vegan- soy bean based broth. Went with vegetable roll , too.

Staff willing to make food vegan - Edit
There are many restaurants in this town without any vegan options or possibilities. Yamato will work to make dishes vegan, because many components of lots of dishes are not vegan. The Defiance location has wonderful staff.

1st time here. I was at the Marysville location. Friendly service. Various vegan options available. I started with the Shishito peppers, side salad with ginger dressing, and miso soup. I moved on to the hibachi tofu dinner with veggies and rice (no noodles because they contain egg). The food was good. As someone visiting Ohio, I wouldn’t come back. I would search for new flavors and combinations somewhere else. If I were local, I would come back because it was good but not extraordinary.

The house salad with the ginger dressing and the sweet potato roll (sushi) are my go-tos! They have a few other veggie rolls but the sweet potato one is my favorite. The spring rolls are also amazing!
