my family and i have gone here a fair few times over the years for sunday dinner, both before and after i turned vegan.
Read morei called a couple days before we went just to ask if they had vegan options for lunch and the lady said “don’t worry, we’ll cook you something stupendous!” – and wow, stupendous it was! i had leek and potato soup to start, and then the wellington, and it came out with amazingly rich vegan gravy, complete with mash potatoes and roasts.
the carr (you’ll understand why he’s called the carr when you see him) even let me know that the vegetables served were 100% vegan (i believe they were steamed), and all the wines were marked out as vegan or organic.
everyone was very friendly and hospitable – the owner herself is apparently vegan, so hopefully there could be more options in the future? i’ll definitely be coming again.
Pros: big portions, unlimited gravy/veg, very friendly hosts, delicious, rich food
Cons: serves meat... that’s it!!

Nice little restaurant with very good food and a separate vegan menu - the staff are well aware of veganism just let someone know when you arrive.

Attractive upmarket interior. Separate vegan menu. Very much enjoyed the vegan options. Especially the mezze platter. Others in our party had various pasta dishes & one had stuffed aubergine. All were delicious. Would return.

This place has a separate vegan menu with quite a few interesting options. Literally everything I ordered wasn't available (the starter, the main and dessert), but as we've only been there once I can't tell if I was just unlucky or if it's normal there that half of the menu isn't available. My boyfriend received everything he ordered though.

It's not too far from Porthmadog, you can walk there in about half an hour or take the bus.
Unfortunately, their vegan menu isn't on their website, so you won't know in advance if there is something on the menu you fancy. --- UPDATE --- the vegan menu is on their website now!

A lovely restaurant which had a whole separate vegan menu which had 3-4 options for each course. I had a vegan paella which was delicious! Highly recommend.
