Alright

One of the few vegetarian restaurants in this area of Penang, although hard to find (on the first floor of a shopping street). Good seating area. Vegetarian versions of typical Malaysian food (and from what Malaysian people think is western food). Friendly staff, although limited English skills so hard to know if it's really vegan or not.

Some dishes I liked, some dishes not. Average score.

Solid tasty and tasty Vegetarian Malaysian food (sets and a small selection for sharing too). Have not tried the western dishes, but I think their Malaysian dishes looks better. Very reasonable and affordable prices. Clean and good ambience for everyone. Service is ok. Free and convenient parking available downstairs. Would definitely recommend this even if you're not Vegetarian, for good affordable food.

Pros: vegan friendly, mostly wholefoods, generous with t

Cons: some dishes are average, service is average (room

Good Value, Tasty Food

Xiang Yun Vegetarian is located a commercial development along with many other units, close to Tesco in Tanjung Tokong. For vegetarians, this area is short on vegetarian eateries, so very glad it has opened.

The menu consists of rice, noodle and Chinese delicacies as well as Western style food. We enjoyed the signature Nasi Lemak which was very tasty as well as the Claypot Tofu. Good portion sizes. We also tried the satay and yam roll which we enjoyed. Good value.

Pros: Tasty food, Good value, Nice atmosphere
