warm place with delicious food - Edit
You rarely receive such a warm welcome. The food is super diverse and, above all, fresh. there is something for everyone. Unfortunately, there is apparently only a digital menu, which is why you can easily feel stressed when making your selections on your tablet.

Lovely food run by lovely people! - Edit
This was our first hotpot experience in China and it was so lovely! The server helped us get started and explained how long each item would need to cook for so we didn't ruin anything. All of the ingredients are fresh which is reflected in the quality. They make their own tofu, so when you order tofu as an item it will be HUGE, we just about managed to polish it off. If I had a set of scales I wouldn't be surprised if it was at least 750gr of tofu 😅 The dipping sauces are also delicious which are a must when having hotpot! Between the 2 of us we spent around £24 to share the small hot pot with around 4 items (pumpkin, tofu, Pak Choi, enoki mushrooms).

First Hotpot Ever - Edit
We had our first ever hotpot here having struggled to find a vegan one at home and it was fantastic. The staff were great, teaching us how to eat it. We had half mushroom, half spicy broth with wild mushrooms, a selection of tofu, lotus root, noodles and taro all of which were great. All in all a lovely experience and well worth the cost.

Wutai Yun Vegetarian Restaurant is located in the Haidian University District of Beijing, near the Xizhimen subway station.
Read moreEnter through the left side of the Youtai Hotel entrance, then immediately turn right, and you'll find it.
Their wild mushroom hot pots are a must-try, especially the morel mushroom hot pot, which is incredibly flavorful. They also offer matsutake and boletus hot pots. The tomato hot pot, made with their own organically grown tomatoes, is a rare find and bursting with natural tomato flavor, without any additives. For those who enjoy a bit of spice, the spicy hot pot is also available.
Don't miss out on their vegetarian burgers and lion's mane mushrooms, which are both delicious and healthy.

great place / huuuuge menu (lovely) - Edit
Unfortunately I went there no my last day only after struggling for a few days to find some vegan food.
Read moreI ordered a few dishes as usually and took away what I couldn’t eat. I am honest: there was food that I absolutely didn’t like but also some really nice dishes. Alone the burgers deserve five stars. Other dishes had flavors / spices that I didn’t like at all. For example the fermented drinks - I could t finish it, also the veggies/tofu dish as it had a lot of sichuan pepper. It’s just not for my taste buds😁The vegan sausages and egg were surprisingly good. I just ordered to try.
If I come to Beijkng again I’ll definitely come here more often but will stay with the burger, veggies and mock meat snacks. Maybe I would try the hot pot with a few mushrooms.
They also sell fresh organic stuff from there farm, as well as snacks and skin care.
The menu is a tablet were you can easily order by pictures. Be aware: The posteriors look msaller than they are.
Staff is very nice and speaks / learns English. When I left I even good some veggies for takeaway (with my leftovers). So cute 😌

As a vegan international student in Beijing, this is the restaurant I often go to when I need to dine out with my friends. Reasonably priced, it has a huge number of recipes to choose from, all delicious enough to satisfy people from almost all backgrounds. For new vegans, this is a great place to explore all the amazing vegan alternatives to meat-based recipes that they need to see.

The BEST in Beijing - Edit
Oh. My. God. This place, hands down, is the best vegan restraunt in the city. Mock meats on point and great flavor in all the dishes. They are the only place with vegan burgers we've found and it was soooo good. There are even mock fried eggs which are legit AF. Blew my mind they were vegan in all honesty. Haven't ever been offered a vegan burger with a fried egg anywhere else other than here.
Read moreThe reviews about being pushy on the hot pot couldn't be more wrong. We were asked if we wanted it (in English) and were explained what it was. Then she told us about the rest of the menu. Nothing pushy about any of the interactions at all. And some of the best english service we have run into. The service was amazing and the prices were even better. We had an entire table of food for about $20. Insane... food that should go for $50 in the USA. A true gem and worth whatever it takes you to get there.
They also have vegan/organic skin care products which we haven't seen any where else in the area. The map location is 100% accurate and why are you even reading this still....just go!
Pros: Entire vegan menu, no meat options which is LOVE.
Cons: Seriously, none at all.

Hands down one of my favorite places in Beijing! The hotpot is delicious and so is the rest of the food from the menu. From the tomato and fake-egg noodle soup to the fake-chicken burger, everything is delicious! Plus they have kale which is pretty hard to find in Beijing!

The restaurant is the creation of several students collective vision of making a difference.
The food has the farn fresh taste and their tofu simply tastes better.
For the effort they put in being real, healthy and sustainable their prices are fair.
Pros: Quality ingredients , Friendly and geniune. The feel of a student effort, Pesticide free...most of their foods.
Cons: A littly grubby., Designed to be a hotpot restaurant.

Meh, wasn’t impressed - Edit
Only good thing about this restaurant, they were selling some veggies and goods that was not bad. Food itself, nah. It was greasy want really that tasty. Staff were nice but their English speaking staff was not good with English so had a bit of hard time communicating. Keep forcing us to have hotpot when we didn’t want to have that much food. Bread is okay not the best but then it’s hard to find vegan bread out in China. Considering it’s good enough. But I will not go back there again.

Is food is love! - Edit
This little unassuming Vege & Organic grocer is a buzzing little vegan hotpot and farm fresh food restaurant. My vegan husband and I are in Beijing for work and using the happy cow app we ventured to this amazing little student run shop that makes their own tofu, grow and farm their own vegetables in the Shanxie province and bring it back to this spot for minimal packing and selling. The girls even clip and prune the veggies right next to you whilst you’re devouring dumplings, tofu dishes and the most extraordinary mushroom types I have ever seen and tasted. There is also a funny and amazingly delicious flip side to this little shop and that’s the chicken burger?!? Yep the faux chicken burger that is one of the best chicken burgers I have ever had with a mayonnaise made from soy beans. This place is a definite must taste in everyone’s list vegan or not. I have been back twice now and highly recommend it to you all to try or keep going back for more! Let me know how the hotpot is it’s meant to be one of the best in Beijing! Big love 💚

Delicious food, excellent service - Edit
On my latest trip to Beijing, I was looking for two things: (a) vegetarian hot pot and (b) somewhere relatively close to my work. I found this restaurant via HappyCow, and I'll join the praise of both the food and the service.
Read moreI walked in, and was immediately greeted by friendly staff. While I communicated with them in Chinese, it was clear that they were able to use at least some rudimentary English, and that their menu (computerized, on a tablet) was available in English, as well.
Upon sitting down, I told them that I wanted to have hot pot. The waitress showed me their various options. I've been to a few hot pot places before; sometimes it's all-you-can-eat, but this isn't one of them. Here, you choose a base (flavor + stuff inside), and then add a la carte items to your soup.
I told the waitress that I'm hungry and willing to eat a lot -- and when I have hot pot, I'm very happy to stuff myself. She suggested that I get a single serving of soup, and then let me buy *half* servings of the a la carte add-ins. That saved me money and let me try a few different things. I'm not really sure what some of those things were; there were long tofu skins and some small, black dumpling-type things. Plus I had some green leaves, broccoli, and potatoes. (The potatoes and leaves were unnecessary, in retrospect.) I also got a plate of dumplings.
The dumplings arrived first, and they were among the most delicious I've ever had. (And I get dumplings at nearly every opportunity, when in China.) While I was munching on those, my soup boiled away, and they brought my add-ins.
The servers kept coming by to give me hot pot eating suggestions ("don't put this into the boiling pot," "take the serving spoon out, or it'll get hot," "have the broth first"), but it was out of caring and service, not annoying at all.
If I have one complaint, it's that the dinner was expensive: I paid just over 400 RMB for the hot pot and dumplings. That said, I was absolutely stuffed, and it satisfied my craving for hot pot for this trip. And it was of very high quality, with lots of expensive and delicious mushrooms. Plus, they use organic ingredients, which are always expensive -- and doubly so in Beijing.
If you are looking for vegetarian hot pot in Beijing, I strongly recommend going here.
It's not 100% obvious where their store is. I'm including a picture. Look for the big red Chinese characters and the smaller English sign saying "vegan - organic."
Pros: Delicious food, Fantastic service, English, if you need it
Cons: Expensive

Wonderful vegan place! - Edit
The staff here are all incredibly warm and friendly. I had the hotpot, which was incredibly good. The homemade tofu was a fantastic additon for the hotpot. Highly recommended. The bar of entirely vegan sauces and additions for the hotpot was great. And the greens I chose for the hotpot were grown on their own organic farm (which the staff people told me is also a school for organic farming).
Read moreThis is a very nice place. I'll definitely be coming back to try out their other nice-looking items on their menu.
Pros: All-vegan hotpot (and all-vegan sauces) , Super friendly staff
