Best Indian ever!!! - Edit
The four of us absolute loved this restaurant. Everything about it was above par- the service, the food, the portions, the atmosphere, the prices.
Read moreIt’s an all vegetarian restaurant that’s been in business for over 25 yrs. Just ask for no ghee for an otherwise all vegan meal
of which there are plenty to choose from.
The wait time for a busy restaurant was relatively short.
The menu is extensive.

BEST VEGETARIAN INDIAN RESTAURANT - Edit
I have been going here for years! Introduced my omni colleagues, relatives - everyone falls in love with this place! The selections are fantastic, countless vegetarian and vegan options! The quality of food is amazing, incredibly delicious and the staff is just awesome! Some of the cooks and servers don’t speak English well but they are still friendly and helpful individuals! If in Orlando, this is worth a visit!

Delicious food - Edit
Delicious Indian food, not very spicy. We had masala dosai , chana poori & rice plate. It was a weekend night and obviously there was heavy rush. We had to wait for 10 minutes. Service is ok during rush hours. Taste and cooking : really very good.

Fantastic South Indian Cuisine - Edit
Vegetarian but tons of vegan options! Love their south indian food, the poori, uttapam and dosai! Theyve also got some north indian dishes and Chinese-inspired Indian dishes too.

Awesome - Edit
Great place!!! VEGANS: be sure to ask about ghee. They are very friendly telling u what is vegan! More than any other Indian restaurant that will lie. They sometimes forget about the ghee when you ask about dairy free items so say vegan no ghee. Dosas and uttapam are great. Many curries to choose from. Great for gluten-free. I have lived in India so I know Indian food.
Read moreGood on spice levels. If you can not handle any heat then do not get a curry: Go for the pancake options. It is Indian food so of course they use cayenne in everything.
Pros: cheap

Great place to share food at cheap prices - Edit
Really wanted to try the platter with tons of sauces but the waiter mentioned that most had milk. Only ordered the masala dosai and it was delicious. The sauces were great as well. Wish they could have shown more options that could replace milk since I’ve never eaten at an Indian place and had no idea what was what/ in it. Will be back to experiment again!

delicious Indian food - Edit
We ordered the large masala dosa and it was huge. (See photo). It was filled with potatoes peas and spices. We ended up sharing it five ways. The kids loved when it came to the table!!
Read moreWe also ordered a thali (many little dishes) which we all shared. Those two things were enough for five people to leave very full. We did get some extra nan bread and rice.
Things weren't too spicy per our request and everything was delicious. I don't know the names of what we ate because the server was soft spoken and I couldn't understand what he was saying! Everything was vegetarian so we weren't too worried. The total came to just over $40 for five people- a good deal considering we all left full.

Best Indian in Central Florida - Edit
This is my favorite Indian restaurant in all of Central Florida, and it's all vegetarian on top of that! Many of the dishes are vegan or can be made vegan--including the naan!
Read moreThey're great about adjusting the spice to your preference (I order mild, but my friends order hot, and everyone's always happy).
The chana masala is awesome, and so are the kadai bhendi and aloo gobi. The masala dosa is fabulous too. The dal tadka was a bit too mild/bland, even for my sensitive American taste, so if you're into the more flavorful/spicy Indian dishes, I'd recommend going for something else.
The breads are all yummy too--aloo paratha is great, and did I mention vegan naan?!
I've never had bad service. Never too slow, nor rushing you out. They're always quite attentive with pretty good refills (considering that I drink a LOT with spicy food). It's also always very clean and nice inside.
Pros: food, atmosphere

As someone who's Indian... - Edit
I can tell you that this place has some of the most delicious Indian food in the area. I haven't been here in a while so maybe it's changed, but I remember the service not being the greatest. The food totally makes up for it though. If you can, order it for take out. Also neat would be to try out their lunch buffet.

So I've been back twice since my last review (of not having gone back in a while) and I can attest to the food being FANTASTIC. However, the service is still.....not great. They aren't outwardly rude, but do not expect "thank yous" or "pleases" or even smiles. As long as that doesn't bother you or you can just get their take out, definitely do so. The food is still TOP notch.
Pros: Delicious, Vegetarian
Cons: Service isn't great

excelllent food and value - Edit
Having read other reviews on this site, my wife and I went to Woodlands for lunch on the last day of a visit to Orlando (November 2009). The food featured mainly south Indian dishes, which we don't often find at home. We both thought it was great, even my wife who isn't vegetarian.
Read moreThe fact that almost everyone present looked like they had personal or family connections to India, attested to the authenticity of the food. The value was excellent too, with the lunchtime buffet costing well under $10.
The next time we're in Orlando, we'll probably go to this restaurant again.

Alright...I guess - Edit
I wasn't wowed by this restaurant. I went at lunch time and was pretty much told by two workers that I HAD to get the lunch buffet as opposed to ordering from the menu. The food was alright, but nothing to write home about. I also received numerous weird stares as I walked in and ate my lunch.

Great Indian, Awesome Spice - Edit
I love spicy food, and I found it here at Woodlands in Orlando. For those who can't take the heat, no worries, the waitstaff will warn you when you order something spicy. The food is just as good - if not better - as the restaurants I've eaten at in the Indian district of NYC. Woodlands doesn't offer much atmosphere, but the staff is attentive and helpful. If you want really good Indian food without the worries of it including meat, Woodlands is the place. They offer a huge menu, and even some Indian take on Chinese food.

Authentic Indian Food - Edit
Very authentic Indian food. The menu was quite extensive with a variey of Indian food options. I have been to many Indian restaurants but have not experienced many of the options that were offered at Woodlands. Although a bit spicy for my taste, it was fun experimenting with different appetizers and entrees. The mango lassi was very good and helped tame the spiciness of the food.
