Love the Jamaican Me Crazy Bowl - Edit
We’ve tried a couple of fishes and they’ve all been food. Really enjoy the taco salad and the Jamaican me crazy bowl. They make them vegan using walnut taco meat and it’s great!

I've been here twice and wasn't impressed by either dish. First time I got the "Jamaican Me Crazy Bowl" w/ jackfruit. The jackfruit had a somewhat unpleasant brine taste indicating it's from a tin but wasn't properly drained before cooking; the rest of the dish was 'okay' but basic.
Read moreThe second time I came here was because I was looking for a place open at 10:00 AM serving vegan dishes; this happened to be the only place open. On this second visit, I had to order from the "Morning Items" because the "Wise Bowls" weren't ready yet, so I ordered the "Superfoods Bowl." This was probably the most bizarre tasting dish I've gotten in Calgary. It was a spicy breakfast bowl that tasted like cayenne with no other flavour (cayenne pepper for breakfast?). The sweet potatoes were undercooked and the rest of the dish was mostly raw spinach. This was disgusting so I put it in the compost bin and left.
The establishment seems to serve mostly white yuppies who work in the downtown core, so the flavours here are most likely geared toward that clientele.

Great Lunch Spot - Edit
Absolutely love this spot. They have some vegan dishes, but most menu items are easily veganized. I love the pulled jackfruit and walnut taco meat. The snickers bars are also a great treat

First time visiting and was not disappointed! Vegan dishes and options clearly labelled on the menu. Had the Jamaican Me Crazy bowl with the jackfruit option...AMAZING!! Highly recommend checking out this place when you are downtown! You won’t be disappointed! Any almost EVERYTHING is compostable (except the bottles that drinks are sold in)!
