Nice Little Cafe & Bakery - Edit
I highly recommend checking out their mac and cheese it was delicious. The sandwiches were awesome as well but I was hoping they'd be a big bigger, but it was a pretty normal portion for a vegan place. They had a huge selection of baked goods but I didn't delve into any of that, just got breakfast.

Hidden Gem - Edit
This place is in an unexpected strip mall. It's tucked between adult shops and insurance companies. But it's worth going to!
Read moreThe parking lot is full of potholes and can be hard to access because of the amount of traffic in the area. I imagine leasing the building is affordable and I love that there is vegan food anywhere near Houston (the home of steak houses and BBQ).
Once you get into the restaurant it's like you are transported to a totally different place. It's got a very cute and cozy cafe vibe and the people working here are so incredibly nice.
The food is so good! Everything on the menu that I have tried has been tasty.
Any time there is a special of the day or week I try it. Recently it was nachos and I was just craving nachos so it was serendipity. They used vegan chorizo and black beans for a tasty and filling meal.
I have also had their chickpea salad sandwich, Gouda burger, parmesan fries, pesto fries, tons of different flavors of cupcakes, coffee cake, cookies, and different lemonades. They told me that they are ending their guava lemonade though so you'll have to get a different flavor. They had blueberry flavor on the menu last time I went and it was delicious. It was packed with freshly blended blueberries and has great flavor.
Years ago I went and during Thanksgiving they had meals that were to die for! I don't know if they still do that, but it is around the corner and worth checking out.
I highly recommend trying this place and giving them as much business as possible! Show them that Houston loves vegan food!
Pros: Weekly specials, Flavored lemonade , Lots of options
Cons: Hard to get in and out of the parking lot

Awesome find - Edit
While I was on my way back into town I stopped by Wisdom's Vegan Bakery & Cafe and I was not disappointed. I got the lunch special - $11 for mac n cheeze, buffalo cauliflower, and a side salad with vegan ranch. In addition I got the truffle fries and some cookies. The staff are super kind and the store is compact but clean and cozy. Would be here every day if it were not for the distance. Only complaint I have is that I had to drive in circles around the pothole-ridden parking lot for a few minutes before I could find the place, but that's out of their control.

Great bakery & decent food - Edit
Had lunch with seven vegan & non-vegan family members. Everyone gave high marks for the desserts we enjoyed afterward. The lunch main courses were good but not great. Garlic parm fries had tasty flavor but were greasy limp texture. The sweet potato fries were crisp & delicious. The Beyond gouda burger and spicy chick'n sandwiches were hits. Service was friendly but could use a little more proactive initiative.

Option - Edit
I appreciate all of the options they have. I. Ordered the matcha latte, Philly, garlic parm fries, and a strawberry blondie. Philly was a bit salty even for me - but the flavors were there 7/10. The fries were a 10/10. Matcha 10/10. Blondie 10/10.

This place is great - Edit
I’ve been here a few times. First of all, if you are in the Woodlands this is where you’re going to want to go. It’s a cozy and comfortable place with a good food menu and a lot of tasty treats. I’ve never had their coffee, but it seems to be very popular.
Read moreOn this latest trip, I had the pulled barbecue, which was a mix of jackfruit and mushrooms. It was very good, and had a very nice smoky flavor. I also had a red velvet cupcake, which was pretty good.

Misleading - Edit
As of now, we do not recommend this company. In the past we have had good experiences, but yesterday when I was trying to order something for Christmas, the person gave me the impression that there would not be a problem. When I went online the same evening to order, as I discussed with the person, the item was no longer available. When I called back today, the individual on the phone wasn't accommodating at all and wouldn't let me speak to the owner. She said the owner was there, but wouldn't forward the phone to her. Extremely frustrated. It's a shame that this is how the owner wanted to allow her business to be run.

6/22/21 - One of the BEST in Houston
Read moreI don’t know how many times I’ve been here. I think I’ve had everything on their menu already. I’ve never had their $9 avocado toast though because I don’t see the appeal when I can make that myself for less than 1/3 the price. Let me know if they do something special to it (: Everything else is so good. I recommend the Spicy Chickun Sandwich, the Philly Cheesesteak, and the Chili Fries. Their Breakfast Sandwich is also pretty good. Ooohh and their Chezzy Truffle Burger and Truffle Fries are amazing! Also, try their Matcha Madness drink and basically any of their jumbo cupcakes. Wisdom makes their own alternative meats for most of their dishes. That’s why it’s a bit on the expensive side, but it’s all delicious just the same. I do remember the Chicken and Waffles not meeting my expectations, but I think it was because I ordered to-go and ate it a couple hours later. I ordered it again and it’s much better. The staff is super friendly all the time! 5 Stars!!
10/13/23 - Reasons for the lost of star:
My husband and I have been supporters of Wisdom’s since they opened. But with all the other new vegan restaurants popping up, they’re starting to lack. The last 3 times we ordered kolaches/quiches/danishes/etc. from the bakery, they came out either rock cold or semi warm with cold spots even though we tell them we want the food heated. It’s especially very disappointing when you want a quick grab before a long drive. Their gluten free muffins/cupcakes are okay tasting. But they have also been inconsistent in terms of mixing. A few times I’ve noticed tiny globs of white flour in a chocolate cupcake. Not okay. I’ve also put in an order for a custom cake, which came out SO delicious. But because of time restraints, my customizations were not all incorporated yet I was still urged to pay for them ):

Great all vegan cafe! I had a delicious quinoa veggie wrap and had to get two fresh baked items to go. Everything was delicious. It is right off I45 and was easy off & back on the highway. Next time we are driving through Houston I will plan to stop there.

The Philly Cheese Steak is probably the vegan vegan sandwich that I have ever had. The homemade bakery sweets never disappoint! Overall, the food was great. Customer service could use work. How you do it is more important than what you do.

Spicy Chikn Sandwich & Cupcakes - Edit
I love their sweets and how they’re always changing their cupcake flavors. My favorites are the carrot and strawberry cupcakes. The spicy chikn sandwich is soooo good and I don’t even eat spicy food like that. Lastly the Mac and cheese is one of the best I have ever had. Perfect vegan comfort food spot.

Instagram worthy and actually DELICIOUS. - Edit
Always a good experience there. The cupcakes are so moist and perfect every time. They always have different flavor cupcakes available so check their Instagram stories! The BBQ Pulled Sandwhich is my favorite and I just tried the Chick’n Parm Sub which was absolutely perfect. We always get the parm fries as well. They have great coffee and lemonades to drink. I like to try whatever specialty drink they have for the month. Everyone who works there is super sweet. Love them!

Beware if you are GF - I got "glutened"' - Edit
After going thru the menu carefully with the very sweet employee, I ordered two gluten-free two meals to go. After I got our food, I took a couple bites while still in the parking lot. Something didn't taste right. We brought the sandwich back in and sure enough it was the regular bread. They changed the sandwich out to be gluten-free but the damage was already done. I am very sensitive to gluten and have been sick now for almost 24 hours and expect this to last over a week. The lady at the register said something about better training for employees but somehow that doesn't make up for me being sick and significantly incapacitated due to the wheat/gluten ingestion.

Great food, weird service - Edit
Ordered the BBQ pulled jackfruit sandwich, Beyond chicken parmesan sandwich, and the veggie wrap, lemonade, peach lemonade and the seasonal Lattes. And a hot chocolate, that wasn't on the menu. Food was good but the service was weird. Ordered one decaf latte but they were out of decaf so they made it caffinated and brought it out anyway. They also swapped the sizes so we went to double check and they said the barista just made it caffinated and brought it out anyway and didnt say anything. Which is really weird for a vegan Cafe that you'd think would be used to people ordering specific requests. They also...took it back when they brought the hot chocolate replacement "because reasons," also kinda weird. So. Good food, make sure to double check when you get it if you order modifications.
