so much choice - Edit
whole separate vegan menu, about 3/4 of the non vegan menu said it could be veganized. Also cabinet with pastries and cakes is basically all vegan, go early though as the cabinet was nearly empty when we got there. Tofu scramble with tempeh facon was super good, and vegan chickpea burger was perfect for a hangover 😉

We had the VG Breaky Bagels which was tofu and tempeh with soft bagels and yummy sauces. We also tried the vegan cheese and spinach scone which was a treat as hard to find.

Nice vegan omelette! - Edit
My husband and I ordered the same lunch here, but definititely didn't get the same vegan omelette: mine was better: well filled with spinach and mushrooms and with a great egg-taste. My husband's looked more like scrambled eggs, with the same ingeredients, and probably tasted as well, but looked less enticing! Good coffee, quiet restaurant, a bit dark inside.

Best cafe ever - Edit
If I could give 5 stars I would (can't because it's not.all veg).
Read moreHands down my favourite cafe ever!
Everything I've had off thr menu has been great, cabinet sweets are my favourite foods ever!
I love that they make things that can be taken away to cook at home (burger patties, sausages, pies) and do special items for Christmas (tofurkey, vegan wellington, tiramisu) and these are all delicious too.
Bonus that the customer service is out of this world. Always remember me by name and pay special attention to my daughter....often giving her freebies!
Oh and the coffee is great too!
Pros: Amazing customer service , Huge vegan selection, Provide food to cook at home

This place is awesome. We visit every time we go to Wellington. Always have amazing food, nice coffee, and the service is so friendly. I can never resist taking something sweet from the cabinet to save for later and haven't been disappointed.

Excellent food, terrible cake! - Edit
Food off menu was excellent (we had the tempeh bagel, açai bowl and avo toast) but the cakes from the cabinet (aside from the peanut butter cup) were quite bad. Coffee was excellent.

Great find! - Edit
Very glad to have found this place via Happy Cow. Great selection of vegan foods, very friendly service. There was only one person working there when we visited and it was quite busy, so service was a little bit slow but considering he was doing FOH, coffees and kitchen, he did really well.

Best vegan cafe in Welly - Edit
Lots of vegan options - actually way better than the dedicated veggie places in town. Great breakfast menu. Recommend the vegan Vietnamese baguette and divine cakes and donuts. Would give 5 stars if HappyCow allowed it (it's vegan friendly but not entirely veggie)

Disappointingly disappointing - Edit
I wanted to like this place and went back several times. But their donuts and cakes are just too sweet (cloyingly so; all I could tase is sugar); the muffins and cookies were much better but still too sugary. The fakon and eggs were ok, but far from being memorable. Their portions are generous, but I frankly would rather higher quality and less quantity.

Cons: Quality not that great, Cake is way too sugary

Worth going! - Edit
Heaps of vegan options and a whole vegan menu! I had vegan quesadillas and they were ok but needed something like vegan cheese as they were a bit bland otherwise. However the vegan sausage roll my bf and friend got was really nice! We also shared a vegan lemon meringue tart which was incredible ❤️ Service was good too especially considering we went at the end of the day.

Heaps of vegan options - Edit
Heaps of vegan options here - a separate vegan side to the menu, plus the other side has vegan options for some of the dishes. I had the Vietnamese baguette with tofu and tempeh, which was delicious. Hot sauce came on the side, which is good for those who don’t like heat (I do like some and appreciated being able to add the exact amount I wanted). My companion had the Kiwi vegan breakfast. It came with a homemade vegan sausage. I’m not sure what it was made of but it was very nice. Only negative was the supplied water - it tasted a bit off, like maybe the fruit in the dispenser had been there a bit too long.

Blooming brilliant! - Edit
If the app would let me give them 5 stars I would have! Willi’s kitchen was a real joy to stumble across in Wellington! I ordered a soy milk latte and the vegan “Falcon and Ekks” (brilliant name!) and it really was brilliant! It arrived really quickly, the presentation was awsome and the food tasted great! I couldn’t leave without trying one of the gorgeous vegan desserts, there were so many!! I got the chocolate and peanut butter doughnut, and wow, soooo yummy! I would highly recommend coming to Willi’s kitchen !
