Great store! - Edit
One of the best places to find niche vegan things on Long Island. Can be very hard to find ingredients here like good vegan cheese or snacks. Pricey but worth it for a nice treat.

Lovely organic food store... - Edit
...with lots of fresh veggies, vegan groceries, and vegan cosmetics. There's a deli in the store that also sells some vegan dishes and snacks.
Read moreIt is definitely not cheap, but it's an organic store, so that's to be expected.
Pros: Huge variety of vegan goods , Nice atmosphere

I love this place - Edit
Wild by nature has been around since I was a kid and I’m grateful it still exists. I feel like it’s a hidden gem. Lots of vegan options although it can be pricier than regular grocery stores. Their vegan pies are much cheaper than Whole Foods.

Nice Options - Edit
They have some good stuff here, and many things I haven’t seen anywhere else. I love their grab and go vegan chicken salad sandwich and they carry Pride Enjoy rainbow cookies and vegan biscuits (though I’ve only seen these here once) and many unique items. All delicious!

Great variety and selection of vegan food. - Edit
I have found some hard to find items here I couldn’t find at Whole Foods. Also, plenty of choices and flavors for prepared vegan foods.

Do All My Vegan Grocery Shopping Here - Edit
Excellent place. Staff is always friendly. Extensive variety of vegan food and ingredients. Yummy vegan snacks and a lot of frozen items I can only get there including vegan fish filets and ravioli. Bakery has vegan options but last I checked the kitchen area only has two options for sauces which both have honey in them. They use plastic bags but recycle them and you should be bringing your own anyway. Overall, great place.

Try The Shanghai Dumplings! - Edit
This health-conscious supermarket is a subsidiary of the King Kullen company, but at least it is now unionized - when it first opened many of us in the local community boycotted it because it wasn't union-friendly, but that issue has been resolved and the boycott is over. It is very near to where I live and I go there a lot.
Read moreIt stocks a wide selection of health conscious food and toiletries, and has a bulk department for dry goods like beans & grains. Sadly, it doesn't have bulk spices and herbs. The produce could definitely be a bit fresher and more organic, but they do try to have a good selection of items.
The deli serves mainly meaty/fishy things, but they do have more veg friendly options than first meets the eye: the sushi chef will make vegan sushi for example, and the bakery has some truly luscious vegan cookies, try the razzamatazz especially: they are nut based thumbprint cookies with raspberry preserves, so good. At the deli proper the shanghai dumplings are the stars: vegan cabbage dumplings in hot chili oil, they are beloved by the local veg community. Just blissful.
Considering how few options there are in this area, especially for vegans, Wild By Nature does a very good job.
Pros: Shanghai Dumplings, Vegan Cookies!, Wide Selection
Cons: Produce Not The Freshest, No bulk spices or herbs
