Not Overly Pleased - Edit
Ate here before (less than stellar) which been a while and questionable quality of cuisine I got. I favored this joint because the Flagstaff location at both locations were tops, especially having conversations with one of the owners who broke down the concept of WA. This Phoenix location could use more managerial oversight on food and ambience. Did not get anything on my last voyage here by mere appearance.

Hit or miss at times. - Edit
Had the BLTA last night and it was delicious. The hummus and with the chips on side was so delish. I used to go to this place back when it was in Flag and now when I am in Phoenix, I drop in. Was there last night and they shared they lost their baker for the desserts! That was one of the best things this place has going for them. They are looking for a new baker. Sometimes the food is right on the mark, other times, can be bland or just too much of one flavor or another. It's definitely worth giving it a try. It is organic and healthy food and not overly processed compared to mock meat places. I hope they can pull it off and make it fabulous again!

Hmmm- open or closed? - Edit
Had first crossed paths many years ago with Whyld Ass in Flagstaff, which I believe was their first location, so familiar with business. Street sign light out and inside looked closed. Very dim lighting. Turned out that they were open for dinner, even though very cold inside. Seriously thought they were closed. Even server mentioned temperature was cold, which prompted a local patron to change thermostat. Odd. Anyhow, ordered Pho, Chili, and Chips plus smoothie. Chili and guacamole and smoothie.were excellent. The pho lacked flavor and didn’t have side of spice sauce. Seemed to get a lot of “to go” business. Was told Flagstaff location closed. Not overly impressed, but could be time of year.

few from a few months back: i took a new vegan friend here and we were both excited to try something new out. it was terrible.. masks were required to walk into the restaurant but not required at the table.. when the server was standing a food away from us taking our order.. and had his nose exposed??? makes noo sense..
Read morefood: mac and avo melt was terribleee, such weird flavor combinations.. i cant even believe they allowed these on the menu. the only good thing i got was a peanut butter bar, it was really sweet but i still enjoyed it a lot, the texture was amazing, similar to a pb cub.

So good! - Edit
I visited Whyld Ass Cafe last week and loved it, so I am back again this week. I had the BLTA again. I enjoyed it so much last week… this week, the “bacon” was a bit too salty but I ate it all none-the-less. Highly recommended!

Small place, fast take out
Read moreThe avo melt was alright but fell apart almost immediately.
Sweet potatoes have cinnamon all over them which I didn’t see mentioned on their online menu, didn’t have more than one bite cause it just wasn’t my thing.
Really liked the cupcake but gambled on the flavor cause there were no options or descriptions on the order online menu.
Pros: Fully vegan, House made bread, Bakery items
Cons: Small, Limited descriptions

I’m sad to write this review. - Edit
Are used to be a regular at the Flagstaff location and I was very excited when they came to the valley which is where I spend predominant amount of my time. I went to their location in Phoenix when they first opened and what is it happy to see the menu had not made any significant changes. I ordered my food and proceeded to wait over an hour for it to be served to me. I ordered the big breakfast and the pancakes were dry and the sweet potatoes were extremely burnt. I talked this up as maybe just like having a bad day and haven’t been back there since but my husband want to try it this past week so we went back. We were greeted by a somewhat knowledgeable young man who charged a $66 for two meals which was very expensive and we waited almost an hour for food again. We ordered the nachos as an appetizer-and two sandwiches with salads for dinner. Not only did the food take a very very long time to come once again but I was pretty sick the next day. I’m such a huge supporter of local companies and being vegan for many years I try to go to all of our local restaurants. I cannot support this company any longer because they just don’t seem to have any concept of what’s going on in their own dining room. Outside of that, I’ve never been sick from vegan food and that really worries me about how the food is being handled. Sorry guys - it pains me to write this but it was really that bad.

Sadly disappointed - Edit
I had been looking forward to going here before I even landed in Phoenix. The breakfast burrito was… not very good. I didn’t enjoy it. The buckwheat pancakes were dry. I ordered water and when it was delivered to the table, green, it was explained they add chlorophyll. It didn’t taste great, wasn’t cold, and I would’ve bought a different drink had the cashier warned me when I ordered.
Read moreThe restaurant itself is….disheveled? I felt like we were sitting in a long-closed basement bar or the backroom of a restaurant where customers don’t go. It was very warm inside and there was an uncomfortable silence, no music.
I wanted to love them… I won’t go back.

Horrible - Edit
I can't believe I'm writing this, but this was the most disgusting food I've ever had in a restaurant. The cook has the worst flavor ideas. The biscuits and gravy sauce tastes like bad hot sauce, with tons of cumin. The "biscuits" were like uncooked mud lumps. The food here isn't just bad, it's inedible.

Cons: Horrible whacked out flavors, Hot sauce biscuits & gravy, what? , TOO MUCH CUMIN IN EVERYTHING

Love Keith's Food!!! - Edit
This restaurant is my personal favorite. When it is my pick to go anywhere, this is where I always go. Keith (the owner/chef) knows nutritious and delicious food all in one. Get the yummy quesadilla, loaded mac and cheese, soup with a grilled cheese plate, or the yummy big breakfast burrito is guaranteed to fill anyone up, and then comes the fresh juices, smoothies, and desserts. A varied menu for about everyone. Drop-in for taco Tuesday or one of their many community events. Some local beer and wine are now available. Of course, everything is vegan. I have talked with Keith a few times and know minus pasta and alcohol, everything there is freshly made in their kitchen. So delicious too.

Breakfast! - Edit
Our family really enjoyed our meal. We came in early and had the place to ourselves. My husband brought coffee in and the owner asked if it had any dairy milk (since we are vegan it didn’t) but noted the restaurant is his safe place and he wouldn’t let any banned stuff inside. We ordered the fruit and yogurt dish, the biscuits and gravy and the amaranth breakfast bowl. All three were god although my daughter specializes in vegan biscuits and gravy and proclaimed it “not as good as mine!” Very generous portions. We are moving to Phoenix from Bay Area and we put WA on our “can’t wait to try the rest of the menu” list.

Not Impressed - Edit
Interesting descriptions of food but the flavor was lacking and is far from fresh. I think they are trying to be too unique with the flavor profiles. I applaud they’re creativity and efforts but it just fell flat. I had pancakes that tasted like they were frozen and just heated up. Gravy was too sour and biscuits were odd. The breakfast burrito was okay but nothing to write home about.

What a delightful vegan cafe! - Edit
The menu was varied and extensive, so it took me more than a few minutes to decide. I opted for the BLTA, and was so glad I did! The homemade gluten-free bread was moist and thick, and had a lovely flavor. The sandwich feelings were fresh and flavorful. My side salad was crispy with just the right amount of green goddess dressing! As a special treat I ordered the coffee, banana, peanut butter smoothie and was so glad I did. Because my eyes are often bigger than my stomach, my server offered me a compostable to go cup for the rest of my smoothie, which I finished on the long walk back to my hotel. I highly recommend this place for good food and laid-back ambience. My server said that during the week lunch is quite slow and there are always plenty of seats, but on weekends the place is hopping! I hope this delicious little café continues to thrive.

Great Dining experience. They made fresh gluten-free bread for us. It was worth the wait. Food was very flavorful. Our server was very attentive, knowledgeable, and fun. The cupcakes were delicious, and it was nice to see a place with no soy ingredients and still a great vegan menu! I would LOVE to go back.
