Modern Korean for Everyone

There are lots of clearly marked options for making many dishes on the menu vegan. It makes it really easy when you are with a group of people. The lettuce wrap plates are really big and easily shared. The "gnocchi" (tteok/rice cakes) were crispy on the outside, chewy in the middle, and the star of the meal. Banchan are solid classics, but are an add-on to most entrees. The service was a little... haphazard for a relatively slow weeknight, but it didn't cause problems for our experience.

Pros: Lots of clearly marked vegan options

Cons: Banchan are extra

Really good

A lot of good vegan options but probably not for multiple meals. It is also a little annoying to have to make sure everything is vegan rather than labeling it on the menu with no alterations needed. Really interesting food and everything tested good..

Good vegan options

I had lunch at this new Korean restaurant with some non-vegans and was pleased to find several clearly marked vegan options on the menu as well as indications that certain dishes could be made vegan (like sautéed noodles, a lettuce wrap). I had the Sesame Tofu Salad, which had fresh lettuce, seaweed, carrots, and radishes, in addition to the sesame tofu itself (the best part). There are also vegan dumplings, vegan "gnocchi" (rice cakes with onions and scallions), vegan vegetable and tofu noodle soup similar to ramen (Ramyen), and vegan Bibimbap (rice bowls). There's ample outdoor seating, which is great when Vanderbilt becomes pedestrian- and bike-only on the weekends. Would return. It's on the expensive side, but this is trendy Brooklyn after all.

Pros: Ample vegan options, all clearly marked, friendly staff, outdoor seating
