Home to an absolutely astonishing vegan take away menu. We had a fish Szechuan and a chikn and green pepper in black bean sauce as main courses which were both superb accompanied with fried rice and chips. The additional curry sauce and gravy were greasy but thats just something you need to accept when engaging in this type of food. I also had a delicious hot and sour spicy soup which was full of veg and tofu. This is certainly not something you could indulge in every week but definitely worth the short walk out of town to do so.

Oh I love this take away. The choice is unbelievable. It’s just aswel we don’t live close by as I would seriously get a take away every week at least, which isn’t very healthy but the food is so good. Can’t wait to return to try the sushi at their sister take away Kohaku which operates from the same premises- genius.

We rarely get takeaways but I have been wanting to try Wawin for sometime as we live in York. So as a special occasion (finishing work and everyone home for Xmas) we decided to go for it despite it being very expensive. The reviews made it sound good. We had mostly Tofu dishes my sons had fake meat. We were all disappointed there is very little veg in any of the dishes lots of onion, few bits of pepper and carrot. In my opinion not worth the price. Not our cup of tea but other reviews are positive. I would not go again most dishes are around £9 with rice etc extra.

Me and my partner were passing through York last night and called up for a vegan Chinese to collect on the way to our hotel .You can order online on their website delivery or collection- I called to order to make sure everything was vegan as It seemed unbelievable lol (who else does this ?)
Read moreThe guy was really helpful and said I could call 15 minutes before our arrival so it was ready to which I did and it was hot had been freshly made and he offered us a bottle of drink , very polite and great quick service . Definitely Worth the prices !

Absolutely delicious! We had ‘lamb’ in black bean and ‘prawns’ chilli and honey, with fried rice and spring rolls. Big portions and amazingly tasty! I defy any meat-eater to not love every mouthful too.

I'd never even had a "normal" Chinese takeaway before this, so was bamboozled by the amount of options. I don't eat mock meats, so was very happy that they offer tofu & vegetable options for all of their dishes (which some places don't). I've ordered from here twice now & both times it tasted pretty similar despite ordering different things, but I think that's quite standard for these kinds of places? Yummy though so I didn't mind. It's quite expensive for a takeaway, but the portions are absolutely huge; I made 3 meals out of mine (with the addition of some greens) & had no issues freezing it. The venue looks very smart & hygienic & it's really convenient for Uni students with only a 15ish min walk from Campus West. Super happy that they've just opened a branch in my home town Sheffield. Recommend!

100% vegan Chinese eatery in York. We had a selection of dishes delivered to our campsite. So impressed! A huge variety of choice and authentic tasting meat alternatives used, too. Will hopefully be back in the future when we visit York again.

Amazing!! Couldn’t tell it was vegan, the vegan chicken had an amazing texture with a lollipop stick for the ‘bone’ and the fake skin was so precise to the real thing!! All the food tasted so fresh and yummy! Ordered online and arrived hot! Cute packaging also 😁 Will definitely be ordering here again ❤️

Read moreWe had vegetable udon, sweet and sour "chicken", deep fried combo (spring rolls, crispy won ton, chicken drumsticks). All was delicious and very filling! The chicken drumsticks were interesting - banana blossom (I think) on a lollipop stick.
