Zen Ambience

Allium-free eggless vegetarian restaurant. Very affordable menu mostly serving Asian dishes, with some daily specials. Best for vegans to check with the staff whether items contain dairy and honey. Would recommend the Triple Mushroom Treasure Roll Rice and peanut Tofu. Located within Fo Guang Shan Temple with a zen ambience. Ceasing operation from 24 Oct 2022 onwards as it will be transformed into a space for "meditation, tea-chan, and cultivation".

Cooling and peaceful environment

Given 4 stars as the operating hours and waiting time is long. Overall is a nice place to hangout with friends and have gathering.

Tasty Vegetarian Dishes

Zen vibe cafe with lots of vegan options

[Alliums Free Veg, Vegan options] 🥰Finally tried Water Drop Teahouse (located at level 3 of Fo Guang Shan building). All these featured foodies cost ~$60 for 4 pax! I like the spacious cafe vibe- very Zen feel ! We tried the below (name not exact as I forgot alr haha☺️). Let me show thumb up for recommendation and thumb down to avoid - Note: taste is subjective and below are mainly mine and SJ Fam’s opinions 😋 Do go try yourself too~ A pleasant zen vibe cafe to explore!

👍🏻 Fried mushroom rice (note: do req to omit sauce drizzle to veganise)

👎🏻 Lady fingers (too tough and we cannot finish despite the elderly love to clear food… )

Wan ton noodles, cheesy potato balls, siew mai

Ordered their signature wan ton noodles, very delicious especially the wan ton, lots of fresh ingredients, siew mai is solid and flavourful, goes well with their lovely sambal, cheesy potato balls are crispy outside and cheesy inside, like all of the foods that I ordered, yum yum.

A quiet corner for me whenever I am in Punggol area. Nice simple food and good place just for a simple high tea. Due to pandemic period, do call in and book for reservation.

Out of the way, but simple meal with good flavour

Good variety and friendly staff, went during CNY period and found tibits on the table to share! almost homely and they even offered free packet drinks as well.

A Good place for calm

This is a very nice spot to sit but the food isn't anything special. It's mostly froze things like fries and processed foods. I got the miso. It was nice. They also have a nice selection of tea.

I wouldn't go out of my way to get here but if your are in the area give it a go.

Another good place for Vegetarian Temple Food

Simply love the ambience here, with the Chinese Teahouse vibe. Another good place for Vegetarian Temple Food. The vegetarian food served here is delicious although it’s still not the best that I’ve tasted. Price is reasonable. Standard of the dishes are quite high, and I like the quality of the ingredients used. We enjoyed our happy meal on the low wooden table and chairs!

decent food nice Buddhist ambience

It is situated within a Buddhist temple. The food is quite healthy, quite tasty but doesn't indicate vegan items on menu so have to ask staff.

Pros: heavenly if you're ovolacto veg, rendang rice is highly recommended (uses cow milk)

Cons: limited vegan options, service might be slow during busy times

Nice food

Food quality is very good and tasty. I find the price quite reasonable for the quality. Recommended if you live nearby

Food is very tasty but very much on the high side

Like their lime tea and dishes they serve is delicious. Although quite pricy which is why I only visit once in a while if they bring down their price level I would be glad to visit more often.

Tasty But Crowded

Food is tasty. First, tick on dishes that you want to order on the paper menu they put on table. Then, pass the paper menu to the cashier to speed up the order.
