Not sure if items are actually vegan... hopefully I am wrong - Edit
It may have just been the server I had, but he couldn't tell me which items were vegan and which items had meat in them. He was really confused when I asked if the "vegetarian combo" was vegan, the reason he was confused was because the "special" that came with the combo had beef in it...even though it was the vegetarian combo. I didnt end up ordering anything because I didn't trust I wouldn't have meat in my meal. I have heard a lot of vegetarians rave about this place, so hopefully/probably I just had a server who was new or something.

Good food but atmosphere lacking - Edit
Editing my previous review - I love Ethiopian food but had several very bad experiences at Wass that turned me off of the place. Over the last couple of years, however, it has improved significantly. The food has gotten better for sure... although make sure you clarify portions. Several times we have ordered a vegetarian plate for two and only received a serving for one. You also can’t be in a rush at Wass😉
Read moreNew staff is much friendlier and they don’t seem to seat people in the moldy section of the restaurant anymore, so that’s good.
Pros: Tasty, Friendly
Cons: Slow, Atmosphere still isn’t awesome

Yummy Ethiopian food for Hamilton - Edit
It's great this place is in Hamilton since it was years since another one shut down on King Street. Their homemade spiced tea is great too without milk of course.
