Best veg nasi campur in Uluwatu - Edit
This is a great lil Warung!
Read moreI went and visited this place regardless of the review below and the food was authentic, delicious and cheap.
I speak a lil Indonesian so I did converse with the boys working there and confirmed none of their vegetarian dishes contain any fish sauce, dairy or shrimp paste which is a huge plus if you’re ordering from their Nasi campur (local buffet style)
I do agree with the below comment they offered me shrimp crackers even though I said I’m vegan but if you say just confirm even in English whilst ordering no crackers and no egg you’re guaranteed to get amazing local authentic vegan food
They’re young boys who are used to gado gado having a egg on it and serving all dishes with crackers it’s the local way just tell them no and they understand
It’s not a yoga vegan health food shop, it’s local cut them some slack they’re trying to give us cheap local veg food and support that!
Would definitely recommend this local lil Warung
Pros: Lots of options on nasi campur, Delicious and authentic Balinese food
Cons: Yes they add crackers , May add egg to gado gado , Serves meat

Disappointed - Edit
Well, i was happy to find this little restaurant with a cheap menu and vegan options! While waiting for our dishes, i want to register this restaurant at HappyCow.
Read moreSadly i recognized, that the "Vegan Gado-Gado" had an egg on top... i ask the waiter, why there is egg, when it is a vegan dish!? He took the egg away and said "now thats a vegan dish". Well okay, i ate this, but: the Chips looked like crab-chips, so i asked the waiter again. He said, that these are seafood-chips and didn't understand, what's wrong with the meal for me. I told him, what veganism is about.
I would never go there again. The menu says "vegan" and you will get egg and seafood-chips... so sad, that "vegan" is used as an advertising... the restaurant hasn't even an idea of what vegan means.
Pros: Cheap
