Make sure you eat here! - Edit
Ask what food is vegan and they are very kind and happy to help! They even cleaned the tongs before picking the vegan food for us. You choose what you want and then you’re given a (very cheap) price tag based on that. Less than a fiver for two massive amazing meals.

Read moreThere is one person of the staff which knows what is vegan but I don’t think anyone else does so make sure to say no egg, fish sauce etc.
the food is really nice but there is not much of a change as well the staff looks like doesn’t want to be there and is quite unfriendly.

The fresh juices were under $2 too and so yum and cold.

Cheap authentic Balinese food - Edit
I came for dinner at Warung Indonesia (thanks to raving reviews on HappyCow!) and wasn't disappointed. I had a plate made up at the counter by the staff and they were really helpful at telling me what had meat or eggs in. (There was one vegetable dish that looked good but he told me it had chicken balls in which I was grateful for before it hit my plate!) There were several options with tofu and also tempeh as well as rice and veggies and a coconut curry sauce. Overall it cost me 24,000 rupiah which is about $2.40AUD and I was stuffed at the end! Bargain!

Best Warung in Indonesia - Edit
It was the best Warung we went to, while traveling in Indonesia. It has a variety of vegan options, everything is delicious and the best part is, that it is very cheap. You can choose a la carte or you choose Nasi Campur = variety of dishes presented in a counter. The Nasi Campur costs less for vegetarian/ vegan dishes, than for omnivore dishes. Drinks are very cheap aswell. (7.000 IDR for Coke) Wie ate a big Dinner with 2 people and payed 100.000 IDR

From the menu you can get the classic nasi/mie goreng or gado gado without egg, and they had some other options that could be veganized. I recommend getting the buffet though, I told them I was vegan and they showed me the options, they still had a lot to choose from and it was all sooo good! It was really cheap too, I pad 27k for a big plate.
