Chip shop chips

These chips tasted great, as the the curry sauce and battered sausage!

Lovely little chippy

Proper British chippy - perfect for picking up food at the end of a hike and eating on the beach! Vegan and gluten free options clearly labelled on menu. Vegan sausage (battered or unbattered) available, and vegetarians can have halloumi. Frying medium is vegetable oil. Mushy peas, gravy and curry sauce are all GF and vegan. Staff were lovely.

Is this the best vegan meal you’ll ever have? No (although the chips were blooming good). But it’s great that a chippy has an option for vegans and clearly labels everything.

Pros: Clearly labelled vegan option , Friendly staff , Proper chip shop chips!

Separate vegan menu

Very tasty and staff were friendly and helpful. Had the battered Linda McCartney sausage, battered gherkin and chips. Nice to have a separate vegan menu and gluten-free options, although they are not all vegan

Pros: Friendly , Vegan menu

Cons: Also serves meat and fish

First battered sausage

Linda McCartney sausages can be battered as an accompaniment to your chips. Average chips but nice to have other options available too.

Not vegan

Visited today and was told that everything is cooked in the same oil, so we came away disappointed and hungry. To be fair there is no mention on their website about catering for vegans 🙁

Cons: Everything cooked in the same oil

Our regular fish and chips!

This is our regular fish and chip shop and has been for years, even when I ate the actual fish. So it made going vegan really easy as I could still use my regular fish and chip shop. The vegan spring roll is a regular choice, as are the vegan pea fritters. Just delicious!

Pros: Plenty of vegan options, On the beach, Amazing tasting food

Great staff

I always come out this shop commenting on how great the staff are here.
Linda McCartney sausages that can be battered, pea fritters and last time I was in they said a new vegan meal may be being added soon.
My favourite in the town.

Pros: Great staff , Vegan friendly

Very Nice Chips!

The chips were so nice and it was great to have some which weren't contaminated by something. We tried the pea fritter and onion rings which we weren't quite sure of. However there was a range of other vegan items to try so we will definitely come back.

Pros: Finally some fully vegan chips!

Cons: Onion rings were a bit soggy

Great!!

Very accomodating and friendly! They put tables up so we could sit inside to eat as had walked in the rain from the castle.
Amazing chips and our children loved their vegan battered sausages!
Quite a few vegan options on their menu! Will definitely be returning! And great to see they are also implemeting a plastic free initiative!! 💚

Pros: Friendly and accomodating, Great food, good portions, Plastic free
