Excellent ice cream - Edit
Vegan flavors in the front case as soon as you walk in! Black owned and super nice staff. Unique vegan flavors, I can’t remember them all but there was at least a carrot cake and a waffle cone flavor. Can’t wait to make it there again!

The vegan ice cream is creamy & so good, with as many vegan flavors as there are dairy flavors, and they’re kept in their respective cases. There is also vegan injera for lunch or dinner!

There's a vegan waffle cone... it's a little hard (texture wise) could be a little lighter/crisper
but pretty good
looking forward to trying some of the vegan take out food one day... it looks delicious!

Great Choice for Vegan Treat - Edit
My wife and I stopped by the other day, after I found Walia on HappyCow. It was a hot day, we were on an errand that took us in that direction, and we felt like treating ourselves. Walia was a real treat!
Read moreFrom the reviews I read, I was intrigued by the descriptions of the sweet potato flavor. We sampled a number of other flavors as well - there were more vegan flavors here than in any other ice cream shop I've been to - and we settled on a scoop of sweet potato and one of chocolate. We were very happy with the combination, the surprising lightness of the sweet potato and the familiar favorite, deep dark chocolate.
One of the proprietors was behind the counter, and she was lovely. We knew they offer a couple of Ethiopian plates, also, and we look forward to trying that another day. Highly recommended!
Addendum: On our second visit, we asked what ingredients go in the vegan ice cream, since my wife was concerned - turns out it's coconut milk, sugar, and flavorings, with no gums or additives. This is very different from other ice cream places we've tried!

Super friendly staff. Flavors are great. I don't feel like it's fair to say this place has "vegan options" but this feels like a 50/50 vegan and lacto shop.

Walia was a great ice cream shop with just as many vegan options as there were dairy options. It’s hard to find matcha, chai, or sweet potato ice cream in general let alone great vegan ones so this was a treat for sure. Vegan cones available. Very fair prices too! Next time, I’d love to try their Ethiopian food options. Can’t wait to return🍦🍨🤩

Amazing selection of Vegan ice cream - Edit
This place has an entire case of dairy free ice cream, 9 ice cream flavors and 6 sorbets. I tried sweet potato, lavender, chai, Oreo, mint chip, chocolate, cinnamon apple, no sugar added blueberry banana, and earl grey. Chocolate was my favorite because it has the texture of chocolate silk pie or pudding. All were delicious!
