Actual real vegan options - Edit
Normally “vegan options” means roasted Brussels sprouts and sweet potato fries. Or Beyond burgers.
Read moreBut this menu has actual options you might want to eat. Yes they have Beyond products, but they also have some well thought out too. For example “eggs Benedict” with JustEgg and a vegan cheese sauce. And a beautiful Thai cauliflower quinoa pasta dish with red coconut curry sauce. There’s a vegan milkshake (for dessert) and plenty of other nice options.
Pros: Actual options that are attractive
Cons: I’d like to see desserts besides v-milkshake

Surprisingly good vegan options - Edit
Restaurants serving decent vegan options are not easy to come by in southern Maryland. So it was a wonderful surprise to discover the many plant-based items on the Silver Diner menu. Some of the dishes feature “alternative meats” but others are more whole food-based (like the delicious Brussels sprouts and lentils I had this afternoon). Three cheers for Silver Diner!

Silver Diner is always adding new options to their menu. Lately, I have been particularly pleased with their vegan breakfast additions. It is a good place to go with flexible eating styles, lots of options.

Options for everyone - Edit
I love how they have a very clear menu with what is vegan, vegetarian, gluten free and also options for those who don't follow this lifestyle. The vegan options I have tried have all been DELICIOUS. My favorites are the brunch brussel sprouts with pita and hummus and the beyond meatballs with mac n' cheese. Oof!

Fresh Delicious Food - Edit
Silver diner has a ton of vegan options that are clearly labelled on the menu. They recently added a whole bunch of new vegan items such as curry tofu, vegan eggs, vegan bacon, and more. I love how they have organic locally grown ingredients. Everything tastes so fresh and delicious. They even have a vegan milkshake that you can order. I love coming here because I know there is a large variety of things I can choose from and all of the vegan options I have tried have been amazing.

Went here because one of the reviews say vegan pancakes, in the menu are the coconut pancakes not marked as vegan and when we asked, they told us that they are in deed not vegan and can not be made vegan. They had no vegan breakfast options at all and can't veganize anything so we left hungry.

This is my favorite local place to go when I know I want real food and tasty vegan or vegetarian options. I can always find something interesting and delicious on the menu. Service has always been good and the place is always clean. I love that they frequently add new things but still have my old favorites.

Very happy and surprised to see this place has options for vegans! I believe there were three - four options for entrees. They even had a vegan milkshake (which was enjoyable, by the way). I was in the mood for breakfast, but there wasn't a vegan option for this. That's my only complaint. A vegan breakfast option (not oatmeal; perhaps a vegan sausage and some French toast that was not dipped in egg/milk and/or a tofu scramble) would make me give this place 4 stars.

Lots of Veg options...and good ones - Edit
Sometimes you go to veg friendly places and there are just one or two options. Who doesn't get sick of the typical vegi burger? There are some great meals and appetizers for vegans at the Silver Diner. Well prepared meals in a fun 50's diner setting. Totally enjoyed sitting at the counter watching the chef on a very busy Friday night. Worth a visit!
