Good vegan food in Hpa-an! - Edit
Wadee had many vegan(izable) options available. The friendly staff spoke English and was able to point to which dishes are vegan(izable). I had the pumpkin curry and fried noodles with vegetables, which was very good!

Love, love, love! - Edit
Would leave 5* if I could! Very convenient location to the only hostel in Hpa-An. We headed here for lunch from a recommendation from the hostel and ended up eating here a further 3 times during our stay. Each time we ate there we were able to have something completely different. There is a mix of Thai, Burmese and Western food and the staff spoke very good English and understood our requests of “no egg” “no meat” etc. Super yummy and super cheap.

Terrible food. Tourist trap - Edit
It's like they have given upon running a restaurant & have turned the restaurant into a tourist trap. Offers Thai, burmeses, and Western food. Cooks none of them wepp. Ordered red curry (Thai style) & pumpkin curry (Burmese style): both were beyond mediocre. Only place in the entire country that charges for rice. Orange juice was essentially 1/8th juice, 3/8th water & 1/2 ice.

Cons: Nickle & dimes for everything, Tasteless food, Youll be the only one eating in the restaura t

Average but cheap food - Edit
It was the only restaurant close to our guesthouse so we ate here for every meal. The food was average but really cheap, which is great when you travel. Ask for vegan option: no egg, no fish sauce.

Would give 5 stars - Edit
Amazing experience here as two vegans. We ordered veg pad Thai and a rice dish as well as pumpkin curry. We requested “thatalo” (no living things) which our waitress completely understood. About 15mins after ordering the food, another member of staff came to tell us that the rice dish couldn’t be made vegan as the curry paste is already made up and contains fish sauce. I was really blown away by this level of service, moreso from a place that is quiet new to tourism and also in a place that isn’t veggie or vegan per-say. He recommended an alternative instead and the food was delicious! Big portions, really tasty and flavoursome and lots of tofu in the pad Thai! The pumpkin curry was spicy enough and we polished off the lot. If we stayed in Hpa-an for longer we would have eaten all of our meals here. Really recommend. They also do juices and smoothies and seemed to offer soy milk although they were out when we were there.

Cute restaurant with veggie options - Edit
The only vegan-friendly option (to date) near the center of Hpa An, Wadee restaurant is a pleasant place with vegetarian options (that can be made vegan on request: say 'no egg, no fish sauce, no oyster sauce'). The menu is both in Burmese and English, and pictures are accurate. The staff speaks good English. Prices are low, portions are generous and the food is tasty. Try the potato salad and the vegetarian pad thai (with no egg). We ate here every day (our guest house was conveniently located just on the top of Wadee's street) and we did not get bored by the food.

Great vegan salads!! - Edit
Best vegan options that I could find in Hpaan!! The portions are huge - I accidentally ordered 3 salads thinking they would be the small tapas portions that are usually served in Myanmar. I think 2 is the most that can reasonably be eaten by one person for a meal. Juices are nice as well, wifi is fast and staff are very friendly. Quick service, and wide selection of vegan salads (many I had never seen elsewhere in Myanmar). Prices are great value as well, particularly amongst other tourist-friendly restaurants in Hpaan.
