Staff is amazing, made me feel very welcome. menus are in english, they don't explain what the food is but you can ask. prices are awesome. $12 usd for tikka misala, chana masala, and two appetizers and two cokes. food is absolutely amazing.

Bargain vegetarian meals - Edit
One of my favorite experiences in Bahrain was going to Vrindavan vegetarian restaurant right after attending Mass at Sacred Heart Catholic Church which is next door to the restaurant. My favorite was Mysoor masala dosa, a spicy and fulfilling dish, especially good for breakfast, but good also at lunch or dinner. Also delicious is puri bhaji, and if you are real hungry, try their thali platter. This inexpensive restaurant is highly recommended for vegetarians and vegans. Mysoor masala dosa and puri bhaji are vegan, unless they use ghee for cooking (ask a waiter). Mysoor masala dosa may not be on the menu, so you have to ask for it.

Indredible South Indian food! - Edit
We found this little gem right past the St. Christopher's Catholic church (sign outside)several years ago. The best is the noontime Thali, with about 9 little dishes designed to delight the palate--from salty to spicy to sweet and the kind and efficient waiters will refill each little dish unlimitedly all for the total price of US$2.75. It's such a great place to go for dinner for two for less than $6 or $7 and you fill as if you've had a true treat, delicious! Also great are the Masala Dosas. And the best appetizer is Masala Pappadams! It's a light crispy papadam with grated onions, garlic, tomatoes, cilantro and chili powder--just like a great Mexican fix if you can't find a Mexican restaurant.
