Best on Svalbard

Best food we ate in Svalbard! The restaurant is stunningly beautiful and the staff are very nice, helpful and professional!

Cozy plant paradise

Vinterhagen only offers one vegan option on their menu. When I was there, 16th of April, this was a quinoa burger with vegan cheese, roasted vegetables, and a carrot sauce.
The food tasted amazing, but the atmosphere was even more wonderful. Vinterhagen (Wintergarden) is a true plant paradise. It's a welcome change from the snowy Svalbard spring.

Pros: Delicious food, Friendly staff, Amazing atmosphere

Cons: Only one option

Lunch and dinner options

Lunch is great and is different every single day. The staff make the meals from scratch so it is not a problem to make something vegan. All their lunch dishes that I had were wonderful.

Dinner only has one option and it is a quinoa steak. It's good. It's pricey, and it's the only thing they offer. It's worth a try but it is a shame that it's the only option as I wasn't interested in coming back and having the same dinner meal.
